Short Film Contest :

Brahmaputra Valley Short Film Contest is organised as a part of this prestigious film festival since 2013. The contest is open for film makers of the Northeast India as well as to any filmmaker whose film is either made in Northeast India or features stories/ topics related to Northeast India.

Out of all the entries, after a through screening, the jury short lists 10 best entries for the final round. In the final round, acclaimed directors, who are exceptionally experienced in their own areas, review each of the shortlisted films and select the winning entries.

Rules and Regulations:
** The short film contest is open to filmmakers from Northeast India (ie. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Sikkim) or filmmakers of NE origin, residing anywhere else.
** The short film contest is also open to any filmmaker whose film is either made in Northeast India or featuring stories/topics related to Northeast India
** Maximum length of the short film is 10 minutes only including credits.
** Films previously submitted to the Brahmaputra Valley Short Film Contest are NOT eligible. Past Winners of the short film contest cannot apply
** Entrant confirms and warrants required legal authority to submit the entry into the Festival and to use all music, images, and content in the entry.
** Entrant will allow usage of clips from the film for promotional use on television, radio, in print, and at live Festival events.

** All entries must have English subtitles.
** Entries can be submitted online and also in DVD format to the following address: `Tattva Creations Pvt Ltd, Saraswati Market, 2nd Floor, Above SBI Six Mile Branch, Six Mile, GS Road, Guwahati 781022, Assam
** Organisers reserve the right to publish the entries submitted for the contest online through Youtube or any other media after the contest.
** Video right of the winning entries will be with the organisers. In case film makers of the winning films wish to send the films for any other contest or screenings, the film maker has to take prior permission from the organizer in writing.
** Last date for submission of entries is 30th June 2017.
** The announcement of the winners and the prize distribution will happen at the Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival 2017 in Guwahati.
** If a submitted film wins the contest but the Director and Producers are different for the same, the total prize money will be divided 50-50 between the Director and the Producer. The director will be entitled to the sponsored training with the production house with which the festival has a tie-up
** The cost of shipping an entry to the contest must be paid by the entrant.
** Decision of the management and jury will be final and non-challengeable.
** Any dispute subject to Guwahati jurisdiction only.
** Tattva Creations reserves the right for the short films distribution.
