Assassins Creed On Star Movies Contest :

The following are the terms and conditions governing the “#AssassinsCreedonStarMovies” (“Hashtag”) and “#Contest” contest (collectively the “Contest”) hosted by Star India Private Limited (“Star India”).

The Contest shall be held on Star Movies Twitter profile at the URL twitter.com/StarMoviesIndia (“Official Twitter Handle”) on Sep 17, 2017 from 10 AM to 4 PM (“Contest Period/Period”).

In this Contest, there will be 12 questions that will be asked and the person answering those questions correctly in the shortest span of time will stand a chance to be shortlisted to win the Star Movies Merchandise.

By participating it is deemed that the Participant(s) have read, understood, accepted and agreed to unconditionally abide with all the Terms and Conditions of the Contest. If you do not agree to be bound or cannot comply with any of the Terms and Conditions, please do not continue.

Your act of participating in the Contest shall be deemed to be your absolute agreement to the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy (incorporated herein by reference) of STAR India as prescribed from time to time.

The Contest shall be governed by the Principal Rules and General Rules stated herein below and all the Participants in the Contest shall unconditionally accept and agree to comply with and abide by the same.

Principle Rules :
To participate in the Contest the Participant(s) shall follow the procedure as detailed below:
** Participant(s) must be citizens of India and of 18 (eighteen) years of age or above at the start date of the Contest Period. The Participant(s) should not have criminal conviction or an arrangement or a contract that prevents the Participant(s) from participating in the Contest.

** Employees of and/or consultants of and/or persons hired on contract by Star India and the members of their immediate family are ineligible from participating in the Contest.

** All Participant(s) must have a valid Twitter account to be eligible to participate in the Contest. For the sake of clarity, it is hereby agreed to and confirmed by the Participant(s) that the same does not include a Twitter account opened and operated by a family member and/or friend of the Participant(s).

The Process of the Contest :
** Participant(s) are required to answer the 12 questions that will be asked during the Contest Period correctly using the Hashtag. The Participant(s) shall be required to provide the correct answers within the timeline of the Contest Period (“Entry”).

** For the avoidance of doubt, for the purpose of calculation of the time period taken by the Participant(s) to publish an Entry, Star India shall rely on the time stamp of such Entry. Star India’s decision in this regard shall be final and binding.

** The Participant(s) shall ensure that the Entry is decent and is not immoral, defamatory, abusive, offensive, insensitive, libelous or blasphemous to any person, religious sect or section of the society, defamatory of any person deceased or alive, etc.

** Each Participant shall follow the Twitter Page. Failure to comply with the same shall render the Participant(s) Entry invalid.

** Each Entry for the Contest shall be judged inter alia, on the basis of its correctness and the Entries which are the fastest to correctly answer the twelve questions. The decision of Star India is final and binding in this regard.

** At the end of the contest, out of all Entry/ies received, Ten (10) Participants whose Entries is valid and compliant on the aforesaid parameters shall be selected on the basis of their ranks and shall be eligible to win the Contest (“Shortlisted Participant(s)”). In the event of a tie, out of all the valid Entry/ies received within the Contest Period which are compliant with the aforesaid parameters, the Shortlisted Participant(s) shall be selected by Star India vide a randomizer. Such Participant(s) from the Shortlisted Participant(s) who fulfill all of the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions including submitting of valid Documents (defined herein below) to the satisfaction of Star India shall be entitled to win. For the sake of clarity for this contest there will be 10 winners during the entire Contest Period.

** The Shortlisted Participant(s) will be contacted via Direct Message (“Private Message”) to provide their name, age, email id and phone number (“Contact Details”) to hello[AT]startv.com within 24 hours of such Private Message. In the event any Shortlisted Participant(s) fails to submit their details their Entry shall be invalidated.

** Upon receipt of the Contact Details, Star India shall contact the Shortlisted Participants via email to submit (including but not limited to) scanned copies of their identity proof, age proof and address proof (eg. Birth Certificate, 10th Class leaving Certificate/ School certificate/ passport/any other valid ID for verification) (“Documents”) within 24 (twenty four) hours of such email.

** Star India shall make only one (1) attempt to reach the Shortlisted Participants. In case such Shortlisted Participant(s) fails to revert, his/her selection shall be invalidated and Star India shall not be liable to such Shortlisted Participant(s) in any manner whatsoever.

** Upon verification of the credentials Shortlisted Participant(s) that are in compliance with Terms and Conditions requirements stated herein, shall be contacted via “Direct Message” option on Twitter, informing them that they are the winner(s) (“Winner(s)”). The total number of Winner(s) shall under no circumstances exceed Ten (10).

** Communication to the Winner(s) shall be done on or before 30th Sept, 2017 and the Prize will be dispatched to the Winner on or before 10th Oct, 2017. In case, the Winner announcement is postponed and/or or dispatch of the Prize delayed for whatsoever reasons, Star India will not be held responsible.

** The ten (10) Winners for the Contest shall each win a Star Movies Branded Bluetooth Speakers (“Prize”) the value of which shall not exceed INR 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only). The Prize to be awarded to each winner shall be decided at the sole discretion of Star India.

** Star India shall courier the Prize to Winner(s) on the addresses (in India only) as provided by them 45 days post announcement of the winners.

** After dispatch of the Prize Winner(s), in case during transit, if any loss/damage etc. is caused / incurred, Star India will not be liable for any such loss/damage etc. Further, Star India shall not be responsible or liable for any technical disruption and/or failure and/ or any other difficulties of such nature, due to which the Winner(s) is un-reachable or any technical disruption and/or failure/ and/ or any other difficulties of such nature, due to which Star India is unable to intimate the Winner(s).

** Non-conformance by the Participant(s) to any and all the Terms and Conditions herein or as set by Star India from time to time will make such Participant’s Entry(ies) null and void.
