CBSE Heritage India Quiz :

The CBSE Heritage India Quiz is an Inter School Quiz that was conceptualized by the Board in 2001 with the objective of promoting interest and desire among students to learn and appreciate the history, tourism and sharing the vast cultural heritage of our country.

This enrichment activity has gained lot of popularity among the students and teachers’ community across India in the past 16 years. The trend needs to be continued and the schools are expected to participate with greater vigour in the Heritage India Quiz to be organised in the ensuing academic session 2017-18.

The topic of the quiz will be Indian heritage including, but not limited to- tangible, intangible, cultural and natural heritage.

Rules :
1. Any student from class IX to XII can participate.
2. There will be three students participating from each school in the City Chapter.
3. Schools are requested to register and submit required fees before 31st October, 2017.
4. The online registration window will remain open from 05th October, 2017 to 31st October, 2017.
5. The 06 teams qualifying the City Chapter will be placed directly in the Regional Chapter.
6. The National Semi Finals will witness two teams each from across the 10 competing region. The 20 teams will be divided into 05 groups of 04 teams each.
7. The Semifinals and Final will be held in Delhi in a televised format.
8. All the participants of national semi-finals and final will be given a certificate of participation and winners will also be given cash prizes.
9. Videography of the rounds should be done to avoid any confusion later.
10. The Audio/ Video system should be properly installed.
11. Provision for independent observers should be made.
12. The audience should be drawn from different schools.
13. The venue for the rounds will be CBSE schools.

Guidelines for participations :
1. Interested schools should submit the registration form and confirm their participation on or before 31st October, 2017, by filling in the online registration form available at cbseacademic.in by entering their affiliation number and school number. The registration fees of 600/- per team must be submitted through NEFT transfer only from the account of the school to the account of the Board.

The Unique Transaction Reference Number after submitting fees through NEFT transfer must be mentioned in the online registration form. It is also mandatory to fill the name of the account holder and account no., which is used for transaction of registration fees through NEFT.

The registration fees through NEFT transfer may be made as per the following details:

Note:
Details once entered cannot be altered after the online submission of the form. Registration forms without UTR code, name of account holder and account no from where the transaction takes place will not be considered. No other mode of transferring registration fees will be accepted. The acknowledgement receipt of NEFT transfer should be retained as proof.

2. The online registration will be considered only after receiving the registration fees through the NEFT transfer. The last date for online registration is 31st October, 2017. The schools are advised to register at the earliest possible date to avoid last minute delay.

3. Participation is open to the students of classes IX-XII. Interested schools are requested to select three students who will register as a team, to compete in the City Chapter.

4. The printed copy of the online registration form duly signed and forwarded by the Principal is to be sent to the following address super scribed ‘Heritage India Quiz 2017-18’ by 1st week of November.

5. To and fro rail fare, including reservation charges for three students and one teacher escort (as per the entitlement) will be reimbursed to the teams who qualify to compete in the National semi-finals.

    What types of questions will be asked in Heritage India Quiz? Is it objective/descriptive?

      To be held between Mid- December 2017 to second week of January, 2018. The top (maximum) 06 teams from each region will compete in the Regional Final. The quiz competition will be held in the school where the last CITY CHAPTER of the region will take place. The round will be an on-stage event, with mix of verbal, audio and visual questions. The top two teams from each region will qualify for the National Semi-Finals.
