Council of IIITs Logo Design Contest :

The Council of Indian Institutes of Information Technology would like to invite all the interested students and budding art designers of the five centrally funded IIITs to design an official logo for the Council.

Since this logo will be formally adopted by the council for use on its website and letterhead, certain parameters for the logo design are provided below.

All the entries will be anonymously judged and voted upon by a distinguished panel, with the top entry being rewarded a cash prize of INR10000. Top three ranked entries will also receive a certificate of appreciation from the IIIT-Council.

Rules:
1. Only currently enrolled undergraduates, graduates and doctoral students of IIIT-Allahabad, ABV-IIITM – Gwalior, PDPM-IIITD&M – Jabalpur, IIITDM-Kancheepuram and IIITDM – Kurnool are eligible to participate.
2. Multiple submissions are not allowed.
3. Entries MUST be submitted using your institutional email id.

4. During your submission, the email should have:
a. The subject line “IIIT Council Logo Design Contest”
b. Your name, enrolment id / student id number, course name and cellular contact number. Any entry without this information will not be evaluated.
c. Two files as attachment. (Please refer to the deliverables information below)
d. All entries must be emailed to: thelogocontest [AT] iiita.ac.in

5. All submitted entries will be considered under the ownership of the IIIT-Council and any claim from entrants regarding ownership will be considered null and void.
6. The IIIT-council reserves the right to modify/alter any design entry as it deems fit.
7. The last date for submissions is November 1st, 2017 (11:59 PM).

Logo design specifications:
1. 400px by 400px
2. In vector graphics format (SVG)
3. No solid background color.
4. Not exceeding 200KB
5. Your entry should not be a derivative of any existing logo as well. In other words, your logo entry should not infringe on any existing copyright (domestic/international).

Deliverables:
a. Vector graphics file
b. Rendered file in PNG or TIFF format.

Points to consider:
** The essence of the Council of Indian Institutes of Information Technology should be conveyed by the logo. To get an understanding – visiting your institute website and other IIITs is recommended. Read about their mission statement to get a better understanding.
** Attempting to amalgamate all the institutional logos is NOT recommended.
** Unicolor logos tend to render better. They also provide us the liberty to deploy the logo with variable website design and themes.
** With the prevalence of mobile browsing – the logo should remain clear when viewed in a mobile browser as well. Usually this entails scaling down the dimensions of the logo.
