YES! i am the CHANGE is a nationwide movement to inspire, engage and empower the youth to participate in India’s social transformation through the impactful medium of films.

In this, filmmakers and amateurs make short films on social causes which form an open repository of invaluable communication resources for use of Not-for-Profits. Most importantly, the process of participation and exposure to various social causes leads to the inner transformation of the youth, builds association with causes and makes them agents of change.

In 2014 YES! i am the CHANGE emerged as the largest Social Film Movement of India with 50,000 participants last year and over 8 crore individuals across all states linked to it.

YES! i am the CHANGE 2015:

This year in our 3rd edition, the 101-hour Social Filmmaking Challenge aims to be the largest filmmaking challenge in the world. Over 15,000 films are expected to be made through participation of 500,000 youth pan-India.

Rules:

Production:
** Participants are not allowed to use any footage that has not been shot in their allocated film project duration. Still photographs from NGOs can be used with permission from respective NGOs.
** Animation/special effects are allowed only if they have been created during the allotted film project duration.

Film format must have:
** 5 seconds of black before title
** Title of the film
** Name of the Subject the film is based on
** City
** Final film
** Credits

For any additional images, graphics or material you might want to add to enhance your film, kindly use royalty free content.

Language / Subtitles:
Participants are free to make the film in any language of their choice provided the film has English subtitles. Subtitles are compulsory for the uploaded version of the films.

Music:
Participants are requested to use only royalty free music for the film to avoid any copyright issues. Usage of copyrighted material would restrict us from showcasing the film at various platforms. For royalty free music links, please visit the resources section of the website.

Film Duration:
Each finished film should no more than less than 3 minutes in total duration, including titles and credits.

Credits:
Each film must include titles and credits. Credits are limited to a maximum of 60 seconds. Participants using royalty free music are requested to give credit to the respective artists for the same.

Copyrights:
The rights to the films made as part of the project belong to the organizers of YES! i am the CHANGE. Organizers will share worldwide rights to the finished films, along with NGOs; the films will not be used for any commercial purposes. Filmmakers will have complete rights to show and exhibit their films. All films made in this project would be available freely to NGOs or individuals who may wish to use them for not-for-profit purposes.
