Star Parivaar Awards Contest :
These rules for voting shall be binding on each viewer, in India who voluntarily desire to participate in the Voting Mechanism of the contest as a part of the program titled “STAR PARIVAAR AWARDS 2016” produced by Star India Private Limited aired on STAR Plus.

Rules For Voting :
The Contest is an integral part of the Program. The following are the Principal Rules for Voting Mechanism (defined below) for the Contest conducted by STAR India for the promotion and viewer engagement of the Program on the Channel:
1. The Program is an awards show wherein based on the overall popularity of the on screen characters ,the favorite and /or popular protagonists and artists across all programs /shows of the Channel (“Nominees”) are selected and shortlisted by STAR India and nominated under various popular categories (“Category”)at its sole discretion .
During the Period, the Viewers in the Territory shall cast their Vote (defined below) for their favorite Nominee(s) under various Categories as per the Voting Mechanism provided below. The Nominee with the maximum Votes as per the Voting Mechanism under each respective Category shall be declared as the final winners in the Program and felicitated with awards (“Winner(s)”) .
2. STAR India shall promote the Contest through on-air (promos, astons, bugs etc.), radio, online and any other manner as STAR India may deem fit, at its sole discretion, stating the Voting Mechanism in which the Viewers (s) can participate in the Contest.
3. The Voting Mechanism (as detailed below in clause 4) is applicable only for the Contest and shall be open in the Territory on 11th April, 2016 at 00:00 hours (midnight) Indian Standard Time (IST) and will conclude on to 23rd April , 2016 at 23:59 hours IST (“Period”) (both dates inclusive).
STAR India reserves all rights to make amendments to the Period or such other terms and conditions stated herein, without giving prior notice. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Viewer (s) to check the Terms and Conditions for the Contest on the Channel and /or the Website from time to time. STAR India also reserves the right to cancel and/or postpone theContest without any prior intimation to the Viewer (s).
4. The Voting Mechanism for the Contest during the Period within the Territory is as provided below:
I. SMS:
(i) To vote for their favorite Nominee(s) under various Categories of the Contest(save and except for the Favorite Digital Sadasya Cateogory(Male and Female), the mechanism for which is set out below), the Viewers shall send an SMS through their mobile numbers in the following format MALE <Option> for Favorite Naya Sadasya (Male) category, FEMALE <Option> for Favorite Naya Sadasya (Female) category, PATI <Option> for Favorite Pati category, PATNI <Option> for Favorite Patni category and JODI <Option> for Favorite Jodi category and any other format for other Categories as prescribed on the Website from time to time during the Period to 57827(“Vote”).
This SMS/Vote sent by the Viewer(s) will be deemed to be received when the Viewer receives a return message from the number 57827,“Thank you for your valuable vote. Please watch Star Parivaar Awards Coming Soon on Star Plus.
(ii) It is further clarified that at one time ,each Viewer (s) shall be entitled to cast his/her Vote for his /her favorite Nominee under only one particular Category of the Contest . For the purposes of the Contest, the Viewer(s) shall be required to cast his /her Vote for his/her favorite Nominee under such particular Category through SMS in the format and as per the voting code, i.e. the Category Code and Nominee Code provided to him /her through SMS message from 57827.
(iii) It is clarified that each Viewer can give only 1(one) Vote through SMS for a particular Nominee under a particular Category from one mobile number. However for avoidance of doubt it is clarified that Viewer(s) shall be free to vote for multiple Nominees under various Categories and /or other Nominees under the same Category from the same mobile number. simultaneously during the Period.
(iv) For purposes of this Contest, “receipt” of Vote(s) occurs when the mobile/network operator records the Vote upon the Viewer(s) sending the SMS and the Viewer (s) receives a thank you message. Any automated receipt confirmation does not constitute proof of actual receipt.
(v) For the purposes of participating in this Voting Mechanism, sending their Vote through SMS for their favorite Nominee, under each Category(s) of the Contest during the Period in the format and the appropriate voting code by the Viewer (s) shall be considered as a complete and valid Vote. For the avoidance of doubt, by submitting the Vote the Viewer (s) is representing that the Vote or contents thereof are not confidential or comprise any sensitive personal information.
(vi) If any costs are incurred by the Viewer to participate in the Voting Mechanism through SMS shall be solely borne by the Viewer without any recourse to Star India in the manner as set out herein below.
(vii) For the purposes of this Voting Mechanism, Viewer(s) who are subscribers of (i) Vodafone or (ii) Airtel or or (iii) Tata Indiacom or (iv) Reliance Communications or (v) Idea shall be able to participate in the Voting Mechanism /Contest.
