Jindal Moot Court Competition

** Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), one of India’s leading private law schools, will be hosting the 3rd edition of the Annual Jindal Moot Court Competition (JindalMoot) from 23rd to 25th March 2018. The third edition of the Jindal Moot will take place on an invitation-only basis.

** The Preliminary rounds will be held at O.P Jindal Global University’s (JGU’s) Campus, and the Championship round will be held in New Delhi.
** The competition case or moot problem will be based on issues at the intersection of Intellectual Property and Trade Law.
** Your esteemed institution is cordially invited to participate in the third edition of the Jindal Moot.
** Representation will be through a team of three (3) students, consisting of two (2) speakers and one (1) researcher.
** All participants must be full-time candidates presently enrolled in an undergraduate degree programme in law.
** The written memorials and oral rounds of the competition will be judged by experts in the subject area.

** The 3rd Annual Jindal Moot Court Competition, like its previous editions seeks to set a new benchmark for quality of mooting in India, by requiring exceptionally high standards of performance from the participants and ourselves, particularly in terms of the moot proposition, quality of judging, organization and hospitality.

** Confirmation of participation by your institution must be sent to the Organizing Committee (jindalmoot@jgu.edu.in), by 14th January 2018.

** The details (including email IDs and phone numbers) of the members of the team representing the University are required to be shared no later than such date. We hope to see your institution represented this year.

** The Annual Jindal Moot Court Competition is driven by the Jindal Initiative for Research in IP & Competition (JIRICO) and supported by the Moot Court Society at JGLS.

Problem Release & Notification of Official Rules** – December 15th, 2017
Last date for registration – January 14th, 2018
Last date to send questions for 1st round of clarifications – January 20th, 2018
Release of 1st set of clarifications – January 27th, 2018
Last date to send questions for 2nd round of clarifications – February 4th, 2018
Release of 2nd set of clarifications – February 11th, 2018
Memorial Submission- March 4th, 2018
Dates of the competition – March 23rd – 25th , 2018

NOTE: There is no hardcopy submission for the competition.

**The problem (or Record) will be made available on JGLS Moot Court Competition website (jgu.edu.in/jindalmoot/ ) and individually communicated to all participating teams at their registered email addresses.
