BID Master Contest

Bid the best to win over rest – Put your analytical skills to test and select players to create your own cricket team. A limited sum of virtual money will be allotted to each team for placing bids. Each player up for bid will be attributed with specific points and a fixed base price. The team with maximum cumulative points will be the ultimate winner.

If you love cricket, if you have followed IPL and if you can mix common sense with passion into your bidding strategy, this event is a must for you.
Date : 28th Feb
Time : 10-3 pm

Team & Fee Structure

1. Team Size : max 2 participants per team
2. Registration Fee : Rs 100/- per team

Event Structure

1. Event shall consist of two rounds.
2. In first round, participating teams will have to form a cricket team consisting of at least one bowler, one batsman and a wicket-keeper & all-rounder. There should be at least 1 Indian player. Each team will be permitted to buy a maximum of 5 players.

3. If a player has not been bought by any team, that player will not be available for bid again. If all teams have purchased a type of player except one the remaining team has to take the players of that type they want at the base price.

4. The teams with maximum cumulative points will qualify for next round .
5. In round 2, participating teams will have to form a cricket team consisting of at least 3 bowlers,3 batsmen and a wicket-keeper & 1 all-rounder. There should be at least 1 Indian player. Each team will be permitted to buy a maximum of 10 players.

6. If a player has not been bought by any team, that player will not be available for bid again. All the teams have to declare captain and the points of that player will be doubled. In this round,stats of the player will be shown instead of points.
7. The team with maximum cumulative points will be the winner.

Quiz Pro Quo Contest

This is a Business Quiz. The quiz tests knowledge of the participants in the fields of business, business personalities, latest trends in the industry, history, companies, brands, upcoming technology and everything under the world of business.

Emphasis will be given to brands and familiar personalities, since the Quiz is intended for a general audience. Therefore, students & professionals are encouraged to participate.

Time : 10-3 pm

Team & Fee Structure

2. Registration Fee : Rs 150/- per team

Event Structure

1. Event shall consist of two rounds.
2. First round shall be written elimination round, with no multiple choice questions.
3. No negative marking. The participants will have to write their answers on the sheet provided.
4. Top 8 teams will be selected for the final round, the details of which will be disclosed on the spot.

Bull Run Contest

Try your hands at the stock market trading by analyzing different companies and taking the right decisions. This is an event where you get a chance to showcase your stock trading skills using virtual money but real companies.

Event Structure

1. Event shall consist of two rounds.
2. First round shall be elimination round.
3. Second round shall be final round.
4. At start of round 1, participants shall be given a transaction sheet which shall be used by the participants for buying the listed shares based on the news.
5. Elimination and winners shall be done on the basis of (Balance amount + share price).

FAQs

1. Who all can Participate in this Event?
There is no such restriction. Any undergraduate and postgraduate student with a valid college ID card and a registration receipt can participate in this event.

2. How do I buy or sell the Shares?
A transaction sheet will be provided to you at the start of the round. News would be projected on a large screen outside the transaction floor. You have to fill the ‘Transaction Sheet’ depending upon the news.

The sheet will then be stamped by the coordinator. Then you need to submit the sheet to the volunteer who would be handling your transactions on a computer on the Bull Run software. After this, you need to check the transactions on screen of the software.

Only after ensuring with you that the transactions made in the software are as per those mentioned on the sheet, the volunteer would feed the data to the software.
