What is ECI SVEEP Voter Awareness Contest?

The National Voter Awareness Contest is conducted by the Election Commission of India’s SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) programme. Participate and Get a chance to win Cash Prizes and Exciting Merchandise. Last date of application is 15th March 2022.

Contest Categories & Eligibility

Quiz Contest:
The Election Commission of India is organizing a Quiz Contest to engage with inquisitive minds to gauge the awareness level of participants regarding the electoral process in the country.

This contest is a part of the SVEEP initiative and is open for all age groups! The contest will have questions related to the basic and important information relevant to all categories of voters, Electoral roll, EVM & VVPAT, Election Law, IT Applications and History of Indian Elections.

Duration : 25th January 2022 – 15th March 2022

Level :
There will be 3 levels of the contest carrying 20 questions each.
Level 1: Easy
Level 2: Intermediate
Level 3: Difficult

Song Contest:
The Election Commission of India is organizing a Song Contest to harness the talent and potential of creative young minds and in the process strengthen our democracy through the theme of My Vote Is My Future – Power of One Vote. The contest which is a part of the SVEEP initiative is open for all age groups. It aims at generating ideas and content on the importance of every single vote in a democracy.

Duration : 25th January 2022 – 15th March 2022
Theme : My Vote Is My Future – Power of One Vote

Category:
Institutional:
Educational Institutions such as schools, colleges, universities registered under relevant Central or State Government Act can take part in the Institutional category.

Professional:
A person whose main source of livelihood is from singing or working in any form where major source of revenue is through singing – is considered to be ‘Professional’

Note: If selected, the participant shall submit a certificate to testify in the professional category.

Amateur:
A person who does singing as a hobby, for creative urge, but her/his major source of revenue should be from some other means is considered as ‘Amateur’.

Video Making Contest:
The Election Commission of India is organizing a Video Contest to encourage the youth to expand their horizons of creativity, talent, and skills while strengthening our democracy through the below-mentioned themes. The video contest which is a part of the SVEEP initiative is open for all age groups and aims at generating out of the box ideas, visuals, and content on the importance of every single vote in a democracy.

Duration : 25th January 2022 – 15th March 2022

Theme:
** Importance of Informed & Ethical Voting (Inducement Free Voting)
** Power of Vote: Depicting Importance of voting for Women, Persons with Disabilities, Senior Citizens, Young & First Time Voters

Category:
Institutional:
Educational Institutions such as schools, colleges, universities registered under relevant Central or State Government Act can take part in the Institutional category.

Professional:
A person whose main source of livelihood is from video making or working in any form where major source of revenue is through videomaking – is considered to be ‘Professional’

Note : If selected, the participant shall submit a certificate to testify in the professional category.

Amateur:
A person who does video making as a hobby, for creative urge, but her/his major source of revenue should be from some other means is considered as ‘Amateur’.

Poster Design Contest:
The Election Commission of India is organizing a Poster Contest to tap into the potential & creativity of young minds and in the process strengthen our democracy through the theme of My Vote Is My Future – Power of One Vote. The Poster contest which is a part of the SVEEP initiative is open for all age groups and aims at generating ideas and content on the importance of every single vote in a democracy.

Slogan Contest:
The Election Commission of India is organizing a Slogan Contest to unleash the potential & creativity of young minds and in the process strengthen democracy through the theme of My Vote Is My Future – Power of One Vote. The contest is a part of the SVEEP initiative and is open for all age groups. It aims to generate ideas and content on the importance of every single vote in a democracy.

How to Participate in the ECI Voter Awareness Contest?

To Participate in the ECI SVEEP Voter Awareness Contest, Follow the below steps

Step-1 : Read all rules and guidelines at www.voterawarenesscontest.in
Step-2 : Write a brief description of your entry along with your name, address and phone number.
Step-3 : Email your entries along with your details to voter-contest [AT] eci.gov.in with the subject line <Contest Name>

Prizes

The song contest, video-making contest, and poster design contest are classiNied into three categories: Institutional, Professional, and Amateur. The top three winners in each category will be awarded exciting cash prizes. Additionally, each category will have cash prizes under a special mention category. The Institutional category will have 4 special mentions while the Professional & Amateur category will have 3 special mentions each

Quiz Contest:
The winners will get exciting ECI merchandise and all participants completing level-3 will be awarded with e-certificates

** First Prize- Rs. 20,000;
** Second Prize – Rs 10,000;
** Third Prize- Rs 7,500.
** Special mention Award of Rs 2,000 each to be given to 50 participants.
