What is TechGig Geek Goddess Coding Contest?

Geek Goddess 2023 Coding Contest is being organized by TechGig. This competition is only for Women Techies. The contest is open to coders in 54 different languages, including C, C++, C++11, C++14, C#, Java, Java 8, Kotlin, PHP, PHP 7, Python, Python 3, Perl, Ruby, Node Js, Scala, Clojure, Haskell, Lua, Erlang, Swift, VBnet, Js, Objc, Pascal, Go, F#, D, Groovy, Tcl, Ocaml, Smalltalk, Cobol, Racket, Bash, GNU Octave, Rust, Common LISP, R, Julia, Fortran, Ada, Prolog, Icon, Elixir, CoffeeScript, Brainfuck, Pypy, Lolcode, Nim, Picolisp, Pike, Whitespace, pypy3. This Contest will end on 24th October 2023.

The contest is open to Women:

(c) Experienced professional actively seeking for a new position
(d) Tech professionals who have taken a break from active work

How to Participate in the TechGig Geek Goddess?

Contest Rules :
** TechGig Geek Goddess contest will have 3 rounds – Screening, Semi Final and Finale
** Once a user completes the registration process, Screening will be open to attempt by default.
** Screening round in Techgig Geek Goddess can be:
Intra company round
Open Round
** Intra company round – In Intra Company, participating companies will conduct code contests for their employees & identify the top coders for the Semi Finals. Participants who work in the respective registered participant companies need to register themselves via Intra company round registration.
** Open Round – In Open Round, participant from other companies battle it out to reach the Semi Finals. If you score more than 40%, you qualify for Semi Finals.
** If any participant is found having multiple profile while participating in the contest for any kind of reasons, he/she will be disqualified for the event.
** The Semi-finale round may be proctored, and you may need a working web-cam to participate in the semi-final round.

How to participate in the Coding Challenge

** Geek Goddess contest will have 1 coding problem in the Screening and 1 coding problem in the Semi Final round.
** Users who score more than 40% in Screening auto qualify for the Semi Final.
** Once a user completes the registration process, Screening questions will be open to attempt.
** The individual will be able to access the problem statement once user clicks “Participate” button on the Coding Challenge box in the application. The application has a Live Coding Environment. Tthe individual can write his/her code and compile the code.
** Once the individual completes writing the code, a default test case will be used to check the code. To submit the code, the individual must pass the default test case, however, individual does not score for passing the default test case.
** To score marks, participants must clear default test cases which are built to check code. Each test case carries equal marks with equal weightage. The total of the test cases is 100 marks.
** There is no restriction on number of attempts. Higher score of the attempts will be considered as final score.
** If any participant is found having multiple profile while participating in the contest for any kind of reasons, he/she will be disqualified for the event.

How do you score in the Coding Contest

** A coding problem will consist of a certain number of test cases. Each test case will carry 10 marks.
** Scoring logic is as follows:
** Total score = (Number of test cases answered correctly) x 10
** If 2 or more users score the same, tie break logic would apply (Detailed below) Participant will get 2 attempts to improve their scores. The higher score for both the attempts will be considered as the final score.
** There is no negative marking for incorrect test cases.

2nd INR 1,00,000
3rd INR 75,000
International Coding Champion INR 20,000
International Coding 1st Runner up INR 15,000

** Prize winners will be chosen by TechGig/Sponsor, In all matters, the decision of the TechGig/Sponsor shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
** Prizes are non–transferable and there is no cash alternative.
** Prizes are awarded at the discretion of TechGig/Sponsor and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.

Rules of TechGig Geek Goddess Coding Contest

** The time duration for each round of Geek Goddess 2023 will be 3 hours, including the Screening Round and Semi-Final Round.
** Geek Goddess 2023 is open to coders in 54 different programming languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, PHP, VB.Net, Python, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, Objective C, Go, Scala, F#, Haskell, Lua, D, Clojure, Groovy, TCL, Pascal, OCaml, Erlang, Smalltalk, Cobol, Racket, Bash, Java 8, Python 3, GNU Octave, Rust, Common Lisp, R, Node.js, and more.
** You can access the problem statement by clicking the “Start Test” button.
** Participants will have unlimited attempts to solve each round.
** The Problem Statement page features a Live Coding Environment where you can write and compile your code.
** Online webcam proctoring is mandatory to participate in the Semi-Final Round of Geek Goddess 2023.
** To participate in Geek Goddess 2023, participants can use any of the following desktop browsers: Google Chrome 53+, Microsoft Edge 16+ and Mozilla Firefox 60+.
** Coding problems cannot be attempted on mobile devices.
** You must complete the rounds in one go without closing or logging out of the coding window. The contest timer will run continuously once you start attempting the problems.
** If participants have any concerns or queries related to issues like login, code compiling, code submission, or results, it is recommended that they use the “Need Help” interface to post their queries.
