What is Bhavans Vana Mahotsava Photography Contest?
It’s time to celebrate Vana Mahotsava! Schools all over India will celebrate Vana Mahotsava by planting tree saplings. It’s an excellent way to help nature. The Contest is open to all school children studying in any class up to 12, within India. 1,000 participants who send a photo of a unique plant will get the book titled, “Stories of Vikramaditya Vetala Panchavimasati”, FREE. Last date of contest is 10th July, 2025.

Eligibility of Bhavans Vana Mahotsava Photography Contest
The Bhavans Vana Mahotsava Photography Contest is open to all school children studying in any class up to 12, within India.
How To Enter in the Bhavans Vana Mahotsava Photography Contest?
It is very simple.
1. Locate a small herb in your surroundings.
2. If no one else is likely to share a photo of the same kind of plant, feel free to go with the one that you have selected !
3. Place a coin near the plant and take a photo of the plant you identified, using your mobile.
4. At least a portion of the coin needs to be visible in the photo, to ensure it is taken by you and not copied from the net.
5. Using “Google Lens”, identify the plant.
6. Research a little to find something interesting about the plant.
** Its medicinal value, if any.
** How it helps the ecosystem.
** Any particular insect depends on this plant for its survival.
** Any other uses or useful information.
7. Send us the photo, name of the plant, location where you found it and the interesting facts you found, in one or two lines.
8. Along with the details of the plant, send us your details :
** Full Name
** Roll Number
** Class
** Division
** School name with full postal address along with pincode
9. One can send it via email to updates.bhavans [at] gmail.com
10. The contest is open from 01 July 2025 till 10 July, 2025.
11. Entries received during these dates only will be considered.
12. Only one entry/one photo per student. Multiple entries will lead to disqualification.
