What is Vogue x Royal Enfield Himalayan Knot Design Prize Contest?

Vogue x Royal Enfield Himalayan Knot Design Prize Contest 2025 is organised by Conde Nast India Private Limited. Applicants must be residents and citizens of India and at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. All entries must be submitted via the designated Google Form. Each selected winner will be paired with one of the ongoing Himalayan Knot Capsule Collections, developed as part of Royal Enfield’s Himalayan Knot programme, providing them with hands-on industry experience while working with Himalayan crafts. Last date of contest is 27th October 2025.

Eligibility of Vogue Himalayan Knot Design Prize Contest

a) To be eligible to participate in this Contest, applicants must be residents and citizens of India and at least 18 years of age at the time of entry i.e. as on 29th August 2025.

b) Applicants are required to submit a valid government-issued identification document to verify their identity and age. Acceptable forms of ID include, but are not limited to, an Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID, or driver’s license. Incomplete applications or failure to provide valid identification will result in disqualification from the contest. It is hereby stated that such information as provided by the applicant may be shared with organiser’s affiliates, representatives and agents for the purposes of the Contest and other promotional and marketing requirements.

c) Applicants must be in their final year or recent graduates from an accredited art or design university or college. Proof of enrolment or graduation would be required to verify eligibility.

d) Applicants should be available to travel to Delhi on 9th & 10th December 2025 for a jury presentation. Applicants will be responsible for covering their own travel expenses during this period. Additionally, applicants must be willing to travel to remote locations as required by the Himalayan Knot design mentors and the Himalayan Knot partners.

e) Applicants should be available to undertake a four (4) month graduation project/internship from January 2026 to April 2026, working with Himalayan Knot design mentors and the Himalayan Knot partners. Applicants must be willing to create work in alignment with the requirements of the Himalayan Knot design mentors and the Himalayan Knot partners.

How To Enter in the Vogue Himalayan Knot Design Prize Contest?

Applicants must adhere to the following participation requirements to be eligible for the contest. Failure to comply with any of these requirements may result in disqualification from the contest.

a) Personal Information: Applicants are required to provide accurate personal details, including their full name, contact information, and any other relevant identifiers, along with a brief introduction. If the applicant is representing an institute/company or other organization, they must confirm their authority to agree to these terms on behalf of the entity and provide complete details of such institute/company or other organization as well.

b) Background Information: Applicants must provide a comprehensive record of their educational background, including details of the institutions attended, qualifications obtained, relevant dates, and any pertinent coursework. Additionally, applicants should submit a detailed account of their work history, including job titles, responsibilities, and the duration of each role. This application must be accurate and complete, as it will be used to assess eligibility, suitability, and experience during the application process.

c) A Statement Of Purpose: Applicants are required to submit a brief concept note expressing your creative vision, motivation for applying, and how your design approach aligns with our values. The note should showcase the applicant’s passion for fashion, commitment to sustainability, and vision for the future. Submissions that do not adhere to the time limit or fail to effectively convey these elements may be disqualified from consideration.

d) Portfolio Submission: Applicants are required to submit a 5-slide PowerPoint presentation that highlights their top five design projects. Each slide should showcase designs or concepts that exemplify the applicant’s creativity and understanding of sustainable fashion. The presentation must effectively communicate the innovative aspects and sustainability features of each project.

e) Applicants must provide links to their LinkedIn profiles, if available. This information will assist us in evaluating your professional background and qualifications.

7. Submission Format:
Applicants must submit their entries in the following manner:
a) All entries must be submitted via the designated Google Form.
b) A statement of purpose with not more than 1000 words.
c) PowerPoint presentations must not exceed 5 slides and should be submitted via Google Drive.

8. Shortlisting Process:
Stage 1- Online Application: A panel of industry experts, along with representatives from the organiser and Royal Enfield teams, will review all submitted entries and shortlist five (5) applicants based on their submissions. The selection criteria will include creativity, adherence to guidelines, and the overall quality of the proposals and they shall be notified via email.

Stage 2 – Final Selection: A panel of industry experts will review all submissions and select one (1) applicant based on their innovation and alignment with the initiative’s goals. The evaluation will focus on creativity, originality, and how well each design addresses the objectives of the contest.

Prizes of Vogue Himalayan Knot Design Prize Contest

** Each selected winner will be paired with one of the ongoing Himalayan Knot Capsule Collections, developed as part of Royal Enfield’s Himalayan Knot programme, providing them with hands-on industry experience while working with Himalayan crafts.

** Additionally, the selected students will receive a monthly stipend of INR 30,000 for a duration of four months (January 2026 to April 2026) from Eicher Group Foundation, which will cover their base location expenses; any travel to remote areas will be covered separately.

** Graduation Project/Internship with the Himalayan Knot designers and Craft Communities: The selected student will be paired with one of the ongoing Himalayan Knot collections developed under Royal Enfield. They will get the opportunity to work closely on-ground, supporting Royal Enfield, the paired designer, the Himalayan Knot partners, with their role dedicated to a single collection.
