With Humare Zamane Mein Writing Contest 2026 (#HumareZamaneMein), Youth Ki Awaaz, and Hachette India invite young people to write about the seasons they remember and the ones they’re living through now, with the phrase we have heard growing up and might just find ourselves saying. Winners will receive a curated set of books from Hachette India. Last date of contest is 6th May 2026.

How To Enter in the Humare Zamane Mein Writing Contest?

To enter in the Humare Zamane Mein Writing Contest, Follow the below steps

Steps:
** Head to www.youthkiawaaz.com and click on ‘Start Writing’
** Log in via OTP and click on ‘Write’
** Publish your story on the platform
** Add the hashtag #HumareZamaneMein at the start or end of your story

** Are there seasonal rituals, foods, routines, or experiences that no longer exist in the same way?
** Is there a place, — a terrace, a field, a street, a classroom, — where you’ve most felt these seasonal shifts?
** How have summers, winters, or monsoons shifted in the place you live? How has that affected your daily life?
** How do you and your family cope with extreme heat, irregular rains, or changing weather patterns today?
** Has environmental change affected your work, studies, health, or sense of comfort in any way?
** Do you feel a sense of loss, anxiety, or acceptance when you think about these changes?

Selection Process of Humare Zamane Mein Writing Contest

We’re looking for non-fiction entries in Hindi and English between 800 and 1200 words. AI and plagiarism checks will be conducted on all submissions to ensure fairness.

** The contest is open from April 22, 2026 (Earth Day) to May 6, 2026
** The editorial and community team at Youth Ki Awaaz will shortlist entries
** Final winners will be selected in collaboration with Hachette India
** Results will be announced in early June 2026 via email and social media
