3D Student Design Challenge 2015:
Autodesk invites students from Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial Production, Product Design and related disciplines to participate in 3D Student Design Challenge 2015 and submit innovative & sustainable 3D BIM and Mechanical designs for judging by jury of industry experts.

The competition provides aspiring post graduate and under graduate students in India a unique learning opportunity to build their technology knowledge and skills under the guidance of academic experts. The competition aims to inculcate accurate values in the young talent using the right design solutions to make a better future.

The design projects are expected to incorporate innovative ideas, which embed the aspect of sustainability by using Autodesk portfolio of products like Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit® Architecture and Autodesk Revit® Structure, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Alias, Autodesk Showcase, Autodesk Fusion and the likes.

Autodesk Education has launched this competition giving students from different disciplines a unique platform to experiment, brain storm, stimulate interest and bring out their creativity in the form of great design projects.

Mechanical Design: Autodesk Fusion 360 Challenge

BIM Design:
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is changing how buildings, infrastructure, and utilities are planned, designed, built and managed. The concept helps students to design future buildings or infrastructure projects that can help save natural resources or other life-supports.

Leveraging this new paradigm, 3D Student Design Challenge 2015 with the theme – The Future of Making Things – encourages students to create architectural designs, while learning in a real-world scenario.

Autodesk Revit Challenge persuades students to create innovative building and construction designs using Autodesk Revit® building design software, specifically built for BIM, with features for architectural design, MEP and structural engineering, and construction.

Students are required to create building designs by using the Autodesk Revit® Architecture, part of the Autodesk BIM portfolio of products.

The competition provides an excellent opportunity for civil and architecture students to showcase innovative design skills for judging by industry experts. It’s a unique platform for students to experiment, brain storm, stimulate interest and showcase their creativity in great designs. Students not only get attractive prizes, but also get recognized on this unique creative platform beaming their career path.

Mechanical Design:
Digital Prototyping brings together design data from all phases of the product development process and enables students/professionals to create a single digital model that can be used in every stage of production. Thus, bridges the gaps that usually exist between conceptual design, engineering and manufacturing teams.

Inviting students to let loose creativity to help find innovative solutions to real-world problems, 3D Student Design Challenge 2015 aims to stimulate creativity, intellect and collaboration as well as develop technical presentation skills and team-building in a 3D design project.

Autodesk Fusion 360 Challenge is a lucrative opportunity for students to lay hands on Autodesk Fusion software – a 3D CAD/CAM tool, connecting an entire product development process in a single cloud-based tool.

Students are required to create innovative designs by using the Autodesk product solution for Digital Prototyping comprising Autodesk Inventor & Autodesk Fusion software.

The competition provides an excellent opportunity for mechanical, automobile engineering students to showcase 3D design skills for judging by industry experts. It’s a unique platform for students to experiment, brain storm, stimulate interest and showcase their creativity in great designs.
