Japan Photo Contest :

Encouraged by the overwhelming response to the CLICK! JAPAN PHOTO CONTEST 2015, the Embassy of Japan and The Japan Foundation, New Delhi are pleased to announce that the CLICK! JAPAN PHOTO CONTEST 2017 will be held as a commemorative event of “2017 The Year of Japan – India Friendly Exchanges”.

Entries are being accepted from 1st May to 14th July 2017. Selected photos will be displayed in a photo exhibition at The Japan Foundation, located at 5-A, Ring Road, Lajpat Nagar-IV, New Delhi, from 1st to 22nd of August 2017.

The winners will be chosen from those photos displayed and given prize (a photo album of winners’ works) at the prize ceremony to be held at the Ambassador’s residence.

Among those winners, top three will be given special awards: Canon Cameras!

Entry Guidelines :
1. Criteria of submission: This contest is open to residents of India, who have stayed in Japan for any duration between July, 2016 and June, 2017. The photo(s) must be the original work of the participant, and taken in Japan within the period mentioned above.
2. Japanese nationals and permanent residents of Japan are not eligible.
3. Only amateur (non-professional) photographers can participate.
4. Theme: What you were impressed/ amazed/marvelled at/by in Japan (Please select any one theme for your entry.)
5. Starting & Last Date of submission of entries: 1st May to 5:00 PM, 14th July, 2017
6. Minimum and maximum number of entries per person: Minimum 1 (one) photograph; Maximum up to 3 (three) photographs allowed [all photos should be on a single theme and should be fitted on a single sheet].
7. Size of picture: Minimum 2 MB, Maximum 5 MB
8. Photos can be in colour as well as black & white. Cropping and post-capture editing is allowed.
9. Obscene, irrelevant or inappropriate pictures will be rejected immediately.
10. An Entry Form must be duly filled out and submitted with the photos.
11. All participants must sign a form which declares that he organizers are not responsible if any dispute arises over the photos or subject of photos.
12. Submission of photos and application form: Send your photos and scanned application form to jpembjic@nd.mofa.go.jp with the subject of email “Photo Contest”, or submit by post to the Embassy of Japan in India (50-G, Shantipath, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi – 110021)
13. Photos once submitted will not be returned under any circumstances.
14. All prescribed rules must be complied with. Any violation will result in disqualification.
15. Photos will be uploaded on the Embassy of Japan’s Facebook Page.
