Frame The Star Urban Hunters Contest:

Better Photography & OVERDRIVE invites photographers and cinematographers to go urban hunting with a celebrated range of Mercedes-Benz cars across India.

To enter the contest you need to photograph any four wheeler under the below themes or shoot a video with car as an important aspect of your submission.

Photographers:
Photographers can photograph any four wheelers as a part of their composition or photo-story under the given themes.

Video Filmmakers:
Video Filmmakers can submit their entries by shooting any cars as an important aspect of the story or production. The film should be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 5 minutes long. Participants can be as creative as they wish.

How It Works:
Phase 1: The Competition
Step 1:
Register yourself on the contest page to participate. If you have participated in our earlier contest, you can use your existing id to login.

Step 2:
Upload up to four of your best photographs to each of the first four themes. In the fifth photo-essay theme, you can submit one entry made up of a minimum 6 and maximum 12 photographs.

For videographers, a maximum four Full HD (750p) videos will be considered per participant (duration minimum 30 seconds and maximum of 5 minutes long) with any car (or cars) as an important aspect of your production. To read more on the submission guidelines checkout our T&C page

Step 3:
Once the first leg of the contest is over, our panel will select 10 nominees each, from films and stills, to move on to the next round of the competition

Phase 2: The Face-off
Step 4:
The 15 nominees (10 photographers and 5 videographers) will join 15 specially invited artists in the two fields, selected by Better Photography. They will participate in a photography/videography face-off, which will be held at two destinations across India.

Step 5:
At the two locations, these 20 photographers and videographers will each be given a Mercedes-Benz A, B & CLA-Class for 24 hours to shoot in their own creative way.

Phase 3: The Final Face-off
Step 6:
The three best photographers and videographers will join us for the final face-off.

Step 7:
One winner each, from stills and films will be chosen as the final winner of the competition.

Prize:
Winner to drive away a Mercedes-Benz car for one year.

Entering The Competition:
** All entries need to be made online as uploads after logging in to betterphotography.in/framethestar and filling up the registration form in detail.
** Entrants are allowed to participate in multiple themes (up to 4 images per theme, or a entry comprising a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 images in the photo-essay theme).
** There are no themes for films but car should be an important aspect of your submission. A maximum of four video entries will be allowed.
** Entrants are allowed to enter the same image in multiple themes, if the image is representative of that category.
** There are no print entries. Entries sent through email, prints, or through any other means, will not be considered.
