The Competition:
** The Colour Trophy
** The Cut & Style Trophy
** The Men’s Image Award
** The Young Colourist Award

Rules of Entry:
Creative Awards:
The creative awards are a result of a nationwide search for the salon team that is able to showcase the most wearable yet modern consumer look.

The following brief applies to all the creative awards:
The Entries:
The key elements that a winning team must demonstrate are
:
** An innovative cut
** Creative hair colour
** Sleek finishing
** Ultra stylish clothes
** Make-up that suits the overall look

** The finished look must be both beautiful and commercial. The judges seek “a complete look” that combines all of the above factors & creates a desirable cover page that a glossy fashion magazine would use.
** The hair can be any length, texture or colour but has to be inspirational and show skill in the colour, style/cut and finish. The colour work should reflect professional difference, showing off the expertise and ability of the colourist to create a unique look.
** The hair must be in optimal condition. Even if your overall look is amazing, if the hair is in bad condition your work will not be considered worthy of a prize.
** A cut, if featured, must show exceptional technical skill. The finish on the hair has to be outstanding and must not be overloaded with product.
** Models don’t have to be professional but must be confident, ‘own’ their look and walk convincingly down the catwalk. They must be photogenic as the look you create may be featured in professional hairdressing and consumer magazines.
** The hair must suit the model’s face and bone structure.
** Make-up should complement and enhance the overall look and not detract from it. The overall look should be original, modern and inspirational.
** L’Oréal Professionnel is looking for something trend-setting that will inspire consumers and hairdressers.
** Your look must be original and not a reinterpretation of what has won in the past.
** Though judging is based on the overall look, this is a hairdressing competition so hair will be the overriding factor in any decision making process.
** All entries must reach L’Oréal Professionnel by 5th October 2016.

Products Used:
** Only L’Oréal Professionnel products are to be used on models.
** The participant has to compulsorily use L’Oréal Professionnel hair colour to create his/her look.
** No temporary hair colour must be used. No hair pieces, hair extensions or hair pins may be used. Please perform a skin allergy test on your model.

Who Can Enter:
** Please note that your team can consist of maximum of 4 members – A Hairdresser, Colourist/Assistant, Make-up Artist (can be outsourced) & a Model.
** The winners of a particular category in IHA 2014-15 cannot participate in the same category for 2016-17.
** L’Oréal Professionnel Dream Team members, ID Artists and L’Oréal Professionnel Academy students of batch #28 will not be permitted to enter.
** For entry in the Young Colourist category, the participant must be under the age of 23 (Born on/after 1st January 1993) and in his/her first year of hairdressing in a salon/an academy.
** Employees/relatives or their associates working with L’Oréal Professionnel are not eligible to participate in the competition.

Equipment:
