Eligibility:
Any individual of Indian nationality irrespective of any other thing is eligible to submit his/her photography.

** This contest has been organised in association with ULGULAN, 2016, the annual inter-university fest organised by National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, India.

Entry Period:
The contest is already on. 30th October, 2016 till 23:59 (Indian Standard Time) is referred to as the “Entry Period” or the “Last Date”. Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.

What to submit:
Each contestant is allowed to submit not more than 6 original photographs based on the following topic:
When behind the lens, a photographer is a deliverer with demands. When he delivers a shot of wonder, he demands your awe, when a shot of misery, your empathy. His version of ‘completion’ is that moment when the viewer’s mind is driven to exclaim “This person must have sweat real hard for this shot.”

How to submit:
1. Each photograph shot on a Digital camera (Digital SLR Camera or Compact Digital Camera or Bridge Compact Digital Camera or Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera) should be submitted in (.jpg) format only at footloosemagazine@gmail.com.
2. A photograph shot on a mobile phone is not eligible for this competition.
3. For photographs shot on a Film camera, the required film(s) must be sent to “Sourjya Das” at 293/1, Dum Dum Road, Tulsi Manjari Apartments, Block – C, Flat – 19, Kolkata – 700074. Footloose Magazine promises to duly return all the films at the contestant’s address in order to ensure that the copyright on the contestant’s photographs lie with the contestant.
4. Each photograph must have a short description (not more than 40 words) and the name of the place where it was shot.

5. Each contestant is required to write the following in the submission mail with the subject “Photography Contest”:
“I, hereby, confirm that each of these submitted photographs have been clicked by me and no other person.”

Copyright:
Each contestant shall retain his/her rights on their photographs.

Image Plagiarism:
Digital photographs shall undergo an image plagiarism check. Originality is a major criterion to stay in the contest. Any plagiarism found in any photograph shall amount to immediate disqualification of the contestant from the contest.

Prizes:
1. Winner – Cash prize of INR 4000 + Universal Travel Shirt + Publication on Footloose Magazine website
2. Runner-up – Cash Prize of INR 2000 + Universal Travel Shirt + Publication on Footloose Magazine website
3. Honorable Mentions – Publication on Footloose Magazine website
