Goa River Marathon :

Goa River Marathon is a 42-Kilomenter, 21-Kilomenter and 10-Kilomenter run in paradise with a route that starts at Chicalim SAG Cricket Ground and runs alongside the pristine blue waters of the Zuari River.

Held each year in second week of December, this year’s event to be held on 11th December and will be our seventh in a row!

The beautiful river view, tree-shaded route, super smooth roads and professional organization make this one of the top marathons in India and has been duly acknowledeged as such in various magazines including Nat Geo Traveller which says “Goa River Marathon is one of the 10 Great Marathons in the world”. DNA India too puts Goa River Marathon as being amongst the “Top 5 Marathons in India”.

The full marathon starts at 05:30 a.m. and subsequent categories are spaced at intervals of approximately half hour. You can run for sport or you can run for fun in fact, we insist you have fun while you run.

Arrangements ranging from halting the traffic to medical aid to hydration are all top-class. Whether you choose to run or walk; whether you choose the full marathon or 5-KM walk or anything in between, you won’t find reason to complain. And of course, as usual we have loads of entertainment.

Between your registration and the actual event held in December each year, we have lots of trial runs, workshops and training sessions. We religiously post information about these events on our website as well as on our official Facebook page. Don’t forget to register.

How do I register?
You can register online by clicking on the registration link and paying through a choice of Debit Card / Credit Card or Net Banking.

How much is the Registration fee?
The Registration fee for The Full Marathon Rs 1,400
Half Marathon is Rs 1,200
The 10k is Rs 850
The 5K Fun Run is Rs 400 (up to 11th Nov and Rs 500 thereafter).

What does the Registration fee cover?
The fee covers entry to the event.

Will there be a ‘Goodie Bag’ and what will be in it?
Yes – Participants of Full, Half Marathon and 10K timed run will receive a bib, a Adidas brand Grm T-Shirt, and a timing chip. 5K participants will receive a bib and a complementary good quality dri fit T-shirt.

If I register under Early bird offer will I get the same Race kit like other participants?
All the registered participants will get the same race kit with the same contents.

Can I register manually (offline)?
There are no manual registrations for the event.

Is there a minimum/maximum age for participants?
For the Full Marathon and Half Marathon the minimum age to participate is 18 years. 10k the minimum age to participate is 15years. For the 5K Fun Run, all minors must be accompanied by adults.

Can I transfer/cancel my registration? Will there be any refund?
Sorry, no cancellations are possible and registration fees are non-refundable.

Can I change my category once I have registered? For example, if I have registered for the Half Marathon, can I now change to a 5K event? Or vice versa?
