Koffee with Karan Facebook Rapidfire :

The following are the terms and conditions governing the “Koffee with Karan Facebook Rapidfire” contest (“Contest”) hosted by Star India Private Limited for the promotion and engaging the viewers of the program “Koffee with Karan Season 5” (“Program”)” on Star World SD and HD.

The contest shall be held on Star World Facebook profile at the URL facebook.com/StarWorldIndia/ (“Official Facebook Page”) from 3rd November, 2016 till 5th November, 2016.

The Contest shall commence from 3rd November, 2016 till 5th November, 2016. (“Contest Period/Period”).

Any information gathered through this Terms and Conditions including the Entry shall be subject to Star India’s Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) which is available at startv.com/in and incorporated herein by reference.

The contest invites interested persons to participate in the Contest (“Participant(s)”) by interacting with the newsfeed post on their Facebook timeline and then answer the ten (10) trivia questions posted on the Facebook Page.

Each question can only be answered within a minute. To qualify, they will also need to correctly answer the ten (10) trivia questions in the shortest time for Star World India.

By participating it is deemed that the Participant(s) have read, understood, accepted and agreed to unconditionally abide with all the Terms and Conditions of the Contest. If you do not agree to be bound or cannot comply with any of the Terms and Conditions, please do not continue.

Your act of participating in the Contest shall be deemed to be your absolute agreement to the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy (incorporated herein by reference) of STAR India as prescribed from time to time.

The Contest shall be governed by the Principal Rules and General Rules stated herein below and all the Participants in the Contest shall unconditionally accept and agree to comply with and abide by the same.

Principle Rules
1. To participate in the Contest the Participant(s) shall follow the procedure as detailed below:
a) Participant(s) must be citizens of India and of 18 (eighteen) years of age or above at the start date of the Contest Period. The Participant(s) should not have criminal conviction or an arrangement or a contract that prevents the Participant(s) from participating in the Contest.

b) Employees of and/or consultants of and/or persons hired on contract by Star India and the members of their immediate family are ineligible from participating in the Contest.

c) All Participant(s) must have a valid Facebook account to be eligible to participate in the Contest. For the sake of clarity, it is hereby agreed to and confirmed by the Participant(s) that the same does not include a Twitter account opened and operated by a family member and/or friend of the Participant(s).

d) The Process of the Contest
i. Participant(s) are required to participate in the Contest by interacting with the newsfeed post on the Facebook Page and then answer the ten (10) trivia questions (“Question”) posted on the Facebook Page. Each question can only be answered within a minute.

To qualify, the Participants need to answer accurately in the shortest time (“Entry/Entries”). On the basis of such answers and the time taken the participants will get their ranks. To improve their rank, the participants may attempt multiple number of times.

e) For the avoidance of doubt, for the purpose of calculation of the time period taken by the Participant(s) to publish an Entry, Star India shall rely on the time stamp of such Entry. Star India’s decision in this regard shall be final and binding.

f) The Participant(s) shall ensure that the Entry is decent and is not immoral, defamatory, abusive, offensive, insensitive, libelous or blasphemous to any person, religious sect or section of the society, defamatory of any person deceased or alive, etc.

g) Each Participant shall follow the Facebook Page. Failure to comply with the same shall render the Participant(s) Entry invalid.

h) Each Entry shall be judged inter alia, on the basis of its correctness. The decision of Star India is final and binding in this regard.

i) At the end of the Contest Period, out of all the correct Entry/ies received within the Contest Period, Top ten (10) Participants whose Entries is valid and compliant on the aforesaid parameters shall be selected on the basis of their ranks and shall be eligible to win the Contest (“Shortlisted Participant(s)”).

Such Participant(s) from the Shortlisted Participant(s) who fulfill all of the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions including submitting of valid Documents (defined herein below) to the satisfaction of Star India shall be entitled to win.
