Art-Animation-Tech Competition:

The ‘Art-Animation-Tech Competition‘ is the test of creative/technical skills and physical endurance. The contestants battle it out to put in their best in the timeframe of 30 hours and claim the coveted ‘SuperMojo‘ Title.

This is being supported by some of the top Animation Studios in India along with Support from the Government, ABAI and leading Industry Partners. This Challenge will have two separate categories – Professional and Students.

Bengaluru GAFX Conference 2017 is a great platform to exhibit your talent, get noticed and also win exciting prizes. It’s not only about winning, but also about participating, rubbing shoulders with industry professionals and showing a strong effort thus taking a meaningful step in the right direction for growth.

How Does It Work and What is the Super-Mojo Title?:
** If you feel you have what it takes to be creatively and physically challenged for up to 30 hours, this competition is for you.
** All contestants will assemble under a common roof on the given days and compete to create the most compelling art, animation and piece of technology in a controlled setting.
** Basic supplies will be provided, apart from a provision to get those 40 winks of rest. The theme will be revealed prior to the start of the Challenge.
** The Winners take home exciting prizes and will wear the Super-Mojo Title till the next year’s Challenge.

How do I participate?:
Again, it’s super simple. Follow these steps –

Competition Categories:
The ‘Art-Animation-Tech Marathon Challenge’ comprises of SEVEN exciting categories:
** Character Animation<Image>
** Lighting<Image>
** Modeling<Image>
** Traditional Painting<Image>
** Tech-Hackathon<Image>
** Clay Sculpting<Image>
** Digital Painting<Image>

Judging Criteria:
** A panel of experts from the Industry will judge the competition.
** Click on the respective categories for the judging criteria
** The decision of the judges is final and no discussion will be entertained over the decision.
** You will be purely judged based on your skills. Use all the extra time to polish your entry than spending time on things that will not be accounted for your entry.
** The planning process will also be one of the deciding factors in the judging process

Important Dates:
** April 18, 2017 is the last date to register for the Art and Animation challenges.
** April 18, 2017 is the last date to register for the Hackathon challenge.
** April 25, 2017 is the date on which the names of the shortlisted participants will be announced.
** April 28, 2017 is the date by when shortlisted participants should be paying Rs.250 towards entry fees.
** Theme to the Challenge and other specific details pertaining to this category will be revealed just before the start of the Competition. More specific details on this in coming days.
** It is strongly recommended that outstation participants arrive in Bangalore on May 11th, 2017, to be sure you are comfortable and have all queries resolved before the start of the Competition. We are working
** towards arranging a web meeting with all participants before May 11th, 2017. More details regarding this soon.
** The ‘Registration’ for the Challenge will be open till the mid-night of May 1, 2017.
** Winners will be announced by end of Day 3 of the event – May 14th, 2017.
