The Mathematics Training & Talent Search (MTTS) Programme is one of the most popular and significant training programmes for the undergraduate/postgraduate students in India.

The organizers of this programme receive a large number of applications from all parts of the country for participating in this programme.
But due to limitation of resources and seats, a large number of deserving students do not get a chance to participate in the main camp of the MTTS programme. In order to cater to a large number of students at regional level, Mini-MTTS programme has been initiated which runs on the same line of the main MTTS programme. The aim of this programme is to promote mathematical thinking and expose young minds to the excitement of doing mathematics.
Academic Programme :
The proceeding of the programme will include the following topics:
** Foundations and Set Theory
** Real Analysis
** Linear Algebra
The objective of the programme is to motivate and inspire the students to pursue their career in mathematics and mathematical research and enjoy the excitement of mathematics through discovery of the basic mathematical results by their own.
Who should apply :
** Students studying in 2nd year or 3rd semester of B.A. /B.Sc. having mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects.
** Preference will be given to the students studying in institutes in the states in the North East Region of India.
** A small number of students from other parts of the country may be considered subject to availability of fund and accommodation.
** Outstation participants will be paid sleeper class train fare or bus fare (in case no train facility is available) and provided with free food and lodging facilities for their stay during the programme.
** The selection will purely be on the basis of academic career of the candidate & the recommendation from a teacher of mathematics, closely acquainted with the candidate.
How to Apply :
Candidates willing to participate in the programme should send their applications in prescribed form along with a recommendation letter from a teacher to Mr. Dhrubajit Choudhury, Local Coordinator, at the address provided above. The application forms are provided to the Department of Mathematics of the College. Alternatively, the forms can be downloaded from the MTTS website mtts.org.in or Dibrugarh University website dibru.ac.in. They will also be provided by the Local Coordinator by email on request.

Note: Selected participants should send their confirmation of participation to the Local Coordinator by e-mail on or before 25th November, 2015 and they are report to the venue at 8:30 AM on 18th December, 2015.
