NetRiders IT Essentials Competition :

NetRiders IT Essentials competition is open to any Cisco Networking Academy student who is currently or was recently enrolled (within ten months from the opening of registration) in an IT Essentials courses.

The competition is held in two rounds and students participate as individuals. The two rounds are open on a specific date and time and during Round Two students must be proctored by a Cisco Networking Academy Instructor at their academy or at a designated location (varies by country)

What are the goals of the competition?
Cisco NetRiders offers a fun, educational challenge for students to compete with their peers in a real-time environment that showcases their IT/Networking skills. In addition, NetRiders helps to identify top talent for potential employment opportunities.

For Instructors, NetRiders is a great opportunity to provide students with opportunities to develop and demonstrate their leadership outside the traditional classroom curriculum.

Where do students compete?
Students compete online at academynetriders.com and represent their academy where they are currently taking or have recently completed an IT Essentials course.

What does it cost to register for the competition?
Registration and participation in the NetRiders competition is free of charge.

What languages can students compete in?
For the Asia Pacific and Japan IT Essentials competition, the competition is only offered in English.

On what platforms can I install and run Packet Tracer 7.0?
Packet Tracer 7.0 is compatible with the following platforms: Windows 7, 8.1, 10 and Ubuntu Linux, for both 32bit and 64bit.

What are the system requirements for Packet Tracer 7.0?
To successfully install and run Packet Tracer 7.0, the following minimum prerequisites must be met:
CPU: Intel Pentium 4, 2.53 GHz or equivalent
OS: Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1, 10, Ubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS or 14.04 LTS
RAM: 512 MB Free
Storage: 400 MB of free disk space (No tutorials)
Display resolution: 800 x 600
