Great Indian Film & Literature Festival :

The Great Indian Film and Literature Festival (GIFLIF) is India’s first Film and Literature Festival. Literature, film screening, music, poetry, plays, discussions, film-making workshops, stand-up amorphous (a new form of stand up wherein the whole idea is to promote independent artists – poet, comedian, magician, painter, musician etc) is what GIFLIF is all about.

The idea is to involve and entertain an audience with unique sessions, extravaganzas and provide them with 3 days of intellectual stimulation.

GIFLIF has 2 successfully running chapters – Gurgaon and Bhopal. 2 editions have been conducted in Gurgaon and 1 in Bhopal. While GIFLIF invites eminent personalities from the stream of film and literature for various sessions, book readings, discussions and extravaganzas, it also conducts contests to promote upcoming artists. As of now, GIFLIF runs 2 contests:

1. Slam Poetry contest:
A poetry contest is conducted and best poets get a chance to recite their piece of art at the main event. Winners also receive a cash prize.

2. Film contest:
In our endeavour to promote independent film-makers we open global film entries for different genres such as animation, short films, documentary, feature and experimental (for submission visit filmfreeway.com/festival/GIFLIF) from July to October every year. Selecting best films is the key responsibility of our Jury Chief Padma Shri AK Bir and his team. Selected films are screened during both the chapters – Gurgaon as well as Bhopal.

Winner film-makers also get a cash prize.

Awards & Prizes :
GIFLIF is a competitive festival with cash awards & trophies. Films would be selected/ awarded at the sole discretion of GIFLIF Jury. All the winners ( cash and non-cash awards) shall be given certificate and GIFLIF-trophy.

Following are the cash awards at GIFLIF, Gurgaon chapter, 2016
** Grandprix (Best Feature) – $700
** Best Animation – $350
** Best Documentary – $350
** Best Short Film – $350
** Best Experimental – $350

Following are the awards without cash prize.
** Second Best Feature Film
** Second Best Animation
** Second Best Documentary
** Second Best Short Film
** Second Best Experimental

By submitting film to GIFLIF, the submitter takes the whole responsibility of copyright issues of music, script and other creative and technical aspects of film. He/she accepts the responsibility for the accuracy of the information supplied and authorizes GIFLIF to reproduce & use personal/company’s contact information as supplied.

The submitter confirms that he/she has the requisite authority or has obtained the requisite authority from the producer / right holder / concerned authorities to enter, screen and publicize the film in GIFLIF and make available the print for screening. GIFLIF is not responsible /answerable to any copyright/legal issues regarding submitted film.
