ISACA Technical Paper Competition

Call for Papers and guidelines to authors
1. Full papers are invited from current individual professional members of ISACA Chennai Chapter, for the technical paper competition on the occasion of the Chapter’s Annual Conference planned in September, 2017.

Paper to be submitted on any one of the following three topics indicated below:
A. The imperatives of disruptive technologies in a competitive environment
B. Will disruptive technologies disrupt the security equilibrium?
C. Disruptive technologies – will that mean a paradigm shift in security and privacy frameworks
Please submit via e-mail along with ISACA membership number to the following address dir-research@isaca-chennai.org

2. All papers submitted for consideration should be word processed as follows:
Application: MS-Word, or Compatible
Font: Times New Roman, 12 points Normal
Page Size: A4 size
Page Orientation: Portrait
Margins: 1” on all four sides
Line Spacing: 1.15
Paragraph spacing: 6 pts before and after
In addition, please also submit the same paper in PDF format
Please follow the above specifications without deviation.

3. The length of the paper should not exceed 5 pages. Symbols, formulae and equations should be typewritten clearly. Lengthy tables and diagrams may be avoided.

4. Citations are to be made according to the abridged Harvard Method by giving the author’s name and date of publication in the text, for example, (Sen, 2009). All references must be listed and the reference list at the end of the paper should be in the alphabetical order of author’s names in the following form
Sen, Amartya (2009): The idea of justice, London: Allen Lane
Dassi, A. and Khan, M.Z. (2000): Family and emergence of deviant behavior among pg. 2
Children and adolescents, Journal of Social Work, Vol. 61, 3, pp. 420-434.
Bibliography, as above, shall be excluded from the page count mentioned above.

5. Each paper should be accompanied by an abstract of about 150 words and keywords. This shall be on
a separate page and not included in the page count mentioned above.

6. Authors to strictly restrict to the topics indicated
7. The review committee has a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism and all ideas and thoughts reflected in the paper should be original.

8. A declaration to the effect that the paper is the original work of the author and that it has not been published earlier or submitted for publication elsewhere, signed by the author should be submitted along with the submission. Please sign such a declaration, scan the document and send it along with your submission

9. Paper submissions will be as per the below schedule
Last date for receipt of papers – 15th July 2017
Early submission is strongly encouraged
