Annual Competitions :

In an endeavor to propagate and promote spiritualism amongst our younger generation we have been organizing recitation and quiz competitions for school children on some aspects of our scriptures for the past twenty one years.

With an aim to conduct the competitions in a more organized manner the following rules have been incorporated

Rules :
** Only online registration facility is available for recitation, drawing, quiz and oratorical competitions through our website. No spot registration. Registrations sent through post, courier, email, telephone etc. For these competitions will not be recognized.
** Registration for bhajan competitions is through courier along with registration fee – Rs.200/- payable by cheque/dd in favour of “jeeyar educational trust”. Registration fee is non-refundable.
** When the student registers through our website, registration no. Is generated instantly and displayed on the screen.
** Registration is compulsory. Students cannot participate in the competitions without the registration number.
** Only one registration number will be alloted per student and should be used for all competitions registered.
** Parents accompanying the children will not be allowed near the rooms where the competitions are conducted. Separate accomodation is available for parents inside the school premises.
** Last date for registrations is 15th July 2017
** Last date for registrations of Bhajans Competitions is 15thAug 2017

I. Drawing -09.00 a.m.
II. Yamunacharya’sAlavandar Stotraratnam -10.30 a.m.
III. Bhagavad Ramanuja (written competition) -11-30 a.m.
IV. Yatiraja Vimsati -12.30 p.m.
V. Ramanuja Nootrandadi -02.30 p.m.
VI. Prajna Written Competition -03.00 p.m.
VII Oratorical Competition -03.30 p.m.

Bhajan Competitions :
Time: 9-00 a.m. onwards
Registration for Bhajan Competitions should be done through courier along with a registration fee – Rs.200/-

Date: Sunday 20th Aug, 2017 (Juniors & Seniors)
Venue: PRC Centenary Hall Lodhi Khan Street, behind Holy Angels School T.Nagar, Chennai – 600017

Topics:
Songs on Sri Rama, Sri Krishna, Sri Venkateswara, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha and Srimannarayana with at least song on Bhagavad Ramanuja and one Naamavali

Instructions:
1. Registration fee – Rs.200/- per team should be sent in favour of “JEEYAR EDUCATIONAL TRUST” by cheque/DD along with the student name list by courier. Registrations for Bhajan Competitions through any other means such as email, phone, message etc. will not be accepted and recognized. Registration fee is non-refundable.

2. Bhajans should ONLY be on the above-mentioned topics.

3. Schools students will be classified into 2 groups:-
Group I – Pre-Kg to Std. V.
Group II – Std.VI to Std.XII.

4. Each school can send only 1 team for each Group consisting of a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 10 students. The team should consist of students from classes Pre-KG to Std. V for Group I and Std. VI to Std. XII for Group II. Each team can sing for a maximum period of 15 minutes.

5. At least song should be on Bhagavad Ramanujacharya followed by Naamavali.
6. The winning team will get a group prize. Group Prize will be given to the school.
