Launched in 1998, Camel Art Foundation aims to celebrate and sustain the key role that art plays in the enrichment of our lives.

This philanthropic wing of Kokuyo Camlin Limited, set up to promote and spread the language of art, has spearheaded a wide range of activities that include a wide range of promotion programs.

Entries are invited from students and professional artists for The Camel Art Foundation Contest – 2015 where we are reintroducing the Euro Art Tour as the Grand Finale prize which will give national winners an opportunity to win an all expenses trip to visit art galleries and museums in Paris, Rome, Florence and Venice.

Rules for the Contest:

1. Participants must be 18 years and above to enter this contest.
2. You may submit entries online OR courier to Camel Art Foundation, Kokuyo Camlin Limited, 48/2 Hilton House, Central Road, MIDC, Andheri (east), Mumbai – 400093
3. Students must submit photocopy of valid Identity Card of institute.
4. All entries sent for the contest must be bonafide works of the artists and executed after May 2014.
5. The submitted entries should not have been exhibited in any competitive exhibition / contest.
6. Late and incomplete entries will not be considered for judging. The photographs of entries will not be returned.
7. Minimum size of actual painting should be 40 cms WITH FRAME and maximum size should be 110cm WITH FRAME.
8. The selection of entries and awards will solely be at the discretion of the jury appointed by Camel Art Foundation. Decision of jury will be final and no communication will be entertained in this regard.
9. Camel Art Foundation shall be entitled to use / reproduce any of the exhibited works in any publication / activity.
10. The jury may reject any work that they consider unworthy of exhibition and also may not allot any award in one or more mediums if the numbers and quality of works is considered poor.
11. If any painting seems unsatisfactory on viewing the actual artwork due to its variation from the submitted image, the jury has a right to reject the same.
12. The paintings selected for exhibition will be offered for sale unless otherwise mentioned in the entry form. Camel Art Foundation will not retain any amount as commission / administrative costs, and total proceeds from the sale will be given to the artist.
13. Camel Art Foundation shall take utmost care during storage, exhibition, and transport of original paintings. However, if it is damaged or lost during handling and transit, we will not be held liable for any damages.
14. Camel Art Foundation has the right to dispose off the paintings not collected by the artist after two months from the last day of exhibition.
15. National winners from Professional category will be natural winners of the Grand Finale Award – The Euro Art Tour. However, if the artist has already got this chance in the past, he shall not be considered for the same and opportunity will be passed on to others. Three / Four Grand Finale Awards will be declared in student category after interviewing all twelve national winners through portfolio submission and online SKYPE interviews.
16. There will only be online registration.

Phase III – Prize Distribution & Exhibition:
(Total 16 winners will be declared and balance will be considered as exhibits)
Dates: January / February 2016 (dates & venue will be declared later)
Winners: Professional Category – One per Medium = FOUR National Cash Awards of Rs.1 Lac each.
Student Category – Three per Medium = TWELVE National Cash Awards. First prize per medium of Rs. 50,000 and two Best Entry Prizes per medium of Rs. 21,000 each
Catalogue: Hard copies will be printed in limited edition and also posted on website in February 2016

Phase IV – Grand Finale – Euro Art Tour:
Dates: Euro Art Tour will take place during July 2016. Winners will be informed by May 2016
Details: Seven / Eight Grand Finale winners will get opportunity to go on an all expenses paid trip to visit art galleries and museums in Paris, Rome, Florence and Venice
