Official Rules:
Note: Residents of the state of Tamil Nadu are NOT eligible to enter or participate in this Contest

Please read these rules (“Official Rules”) before entering the Contest (“Contest”). You agree that, by submitting an entry, you will be bound by these Official Rules and you acknowledge that you satisfy all Contest eligibility requirements. These Official Rules are in addition to the Amazon.in Conditions of Use to which you agree by using the Amazon.in website or mobile application thereof. To the extent the Amazon.in Conditions of Use are inconsistent with these Official Rules, these Official Rules will prevail with respect to the Contest only.

For the purposes of these Official Rules, wherever the context so requires “You” or “Your” shall mean any natural person who is a participant in the Contest.

Eligibility:
You need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria to enter the Contest:
(a) You should be an individual legal resident of the Republic of India;
(b) You should be of an age 18 years or above at the time of entry into the Contest; and
(c) You should possess a valid and subsisting permanent account number (“PAN”) card at the time of entry into the Contest.

Notwithstanding any of the above, please note that the following are not eligible to enter or participate in the Contest:
(a) our employees, their immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren), and our affiliates, advisors or advertising/promotion agencies (and their immediate family members); and
(b) residents of the state of Tamil Nadu.

How To Enter:
You may enter the Contest beginning at 00:00:00 (IST) on 13th October, 2015 and ending at 23:59:59 (IST) on 17th October, 2015 (the “Contest Period”).

To enter, during the Contest Period you must meet the following requirements:
(1) Make at least one purchase on the Amazon.in mobile application of a value more than INR 299 (Indian Rupees Two Hundred and Ninety Nine) on any day during the Contest Period to be eligible for participation in the Contest for that particular day.

It is clarified that if a customer has not made a purchase on a particular day during the Contest Period, he shall not be eligible for participation in the Contest for that particular day. It is also clarified that if a participant makes multiple purchases during a day, his entry for the purposes of the Contest for that day shall still be a single entry and increasing the number of purchases during a single day shall not increase the probability of winning;

(2) On each day during the Contest Period, amongst the participants who make a purchase during that day, one participant will be selected by a random draw of lots to answer a qualifying Contest question which will enable the participant to win a chance to receive 1Kg of 22 carat certified gold in such form and manner as may be decided by Amazon in its sole discretion (“Prize”).
(3) The participant selected in accordance with the above will be required to answer a qualifying Contest question correctly within a time period which would be communicated to the selected participant by email, in order to be declared winner of the Contest.

(4) If the selected participant does not respond back to the communication made by Amazon within 30 minutes, or answers incorrectly, he/she shall not be eligible to be declared winner and shall be automatically disqualified from the Contest. Selected participant will also be required to prove his/ her age, and provide any other details and/or documents as may be required by Amazon within such period as may be required by Amazon, failing which they will be disqualified from the Contest.

The selected participant agrees that there shall be no liability on Amazon in the event that a communication from Amazon does not reach such participant/ or is delayed on account of any reason whatsoever. In such cases, another participant will be selected by a random draw of lots who will further be required to answer the qualifying question correctly within a time period which would be communicated to the selected participant by email, in order to be declared winner of the Contest. This process will be repeated until a winner has been declared.

(5) Once a winner is declared, Amazon shall notify a detailed procedure which will have to be followed by the winner to be able to claim the Prize and receive/ collect it.

By entering the Contest, you consent to being placed on a mailing list for promotional and other materials for Amazon Seller Services Private Limited (“ASSPL/Amazon”). You may update or change your email preferences at the email preferences page.

Other Promotions:
Please note that we may be running similar contests at the same time as this Contest. By entering this Contest, you will not be eligible to receive any prize awarded in any other contest unless you enter each contest separately.

Prizes:
This Contest shall be conducted over a period of 5 days. One Prize will be given per day during the Contest Period to the declared winner for that day. If a participant has won a Prize on one day during the Contest Period, he shall not be eligible to participate in the Contest thereafter during the Contest Period.

Odds Of Winning:
Odds of winning depend on satisfaction of the eligibility criteria outlined above and following the steps outlined in the ‘how to enter’ section. Mere participation in the Contest shall not entitle a participant to the Prize.

Additional Terms:
** We may, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and in our sole discretion, change the Official Rules or cancel the Contest at any time; or modify, terminate, or suspend the Contest should viruses, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond our control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest or submission of entries.

We are not responsible for:
(a) lost, misdirected, late, incomplete, or unintelligible entries or for inaccurate entry  information, whether caused by you or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries;
(b) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest;

(c) any error in the operation or transmission, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software, malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; or

(d) injury or damage to your or any other computer or mobile resulting from downloading any materials in connection with the Contest; or
(e) any increase or decrease in the market value of the Prize.

We may, in our sole discretion, disqualify any individual found to be:
(a) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website or mobile application; (b) acting in violation of these Official Rules; or (c) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

If your entry is incomplete or if you use robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods, your entry will be void. The authorized subscriber of the e-mail account used to enter the Contest at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these Official Rules in the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same e-mail account.

The authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail addresses. No greater than the number of Prizes stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. If any technical errors occur in the selection of potential Prize winners or if more prizes are claimed than the number of Prizes being awarded as provided in these Official Rules, we may award the Prizes by random drawing from among all eligible participants.

Delivery Of Prize:
** The Prize can be received/claimed by a winner by way of following the procedure/directions as may be issued by Amazon. In the event that the procedure/ directions issued by Amazon are inconsistent with the Official Rules in any manner, such procedure/directions shall prevail. Amazon may also engage a third party for handing over the Prize to the winner, at its sole discretion.

** The Prize shall be delivered only to the winner (who is a natural person) in person and not to any other person or entity on behalf of the winner. The winner agrees that he/she shall bear all costs associated with claiming the Prize, including travelling to a certain location as may be designated by Amazon to collect/claim the Prize. No other person or agent can claim the Prize on behalf of the winner.

** In the event that the winner is not available in person to collect/receive the Prize or does not collect/receive the Prize in accordance with the procedure and requirements prescribed by Amazon, Amazon shall attempt to arrange for the delivery or collection of the Prize on 2 more occasions, upon prior notification to the winner in this regard. Even after such number of repeated efforts, if the winner does not fulfill the requirements or does not follow the procedure to receive/collect the Prize, Amazon shall have the right to immediately disqualify such winner from receiving the Prize and the winner shall be deemed to have forfeited the right to claim the Prize.

** Delivery/handing over of Prizes will be subject to the winners giving the correct address, requisite information and documents as may be required by Amazon. Each winner agrees that there shall be no liability on Amazon in the event that any information/document(s) provided by the winner is incorrect or insufficient and any loss incurred by the winner in relation thereto shall be solely to the account of the winner.

** Without prejudice to any other provision contained herein, any failure on the part of the winner(s) of the Contest to comply with the Official Rules in part or in full shall entitle Amazon, at its discretion, to cancel the Prize for the said winner and/or the same Prize will be given to the next eligible winner. In such instance, the winner shall be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and shall not have the right to claim any damages, loss or costs from Amazon in relation thereto.
