37th North Zone Shooting Championship :

The 37th North Zone Shooting Championship 2017 in Rifle/Pistol and Shotgun (ISSF &NR) events will be held at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, New Delhi from 1st to 9th November 2017.

It will be conducted by the Delhi State Rifle Association under the patronage of NRAI, as per rules and regulations under NRAI Match Book 2016.

This Championship is open to shooters belonging to the North Zone only as stated above and shooters from other States are not permitted to participate in this Championship in any match including for achieving MQS score.

The shooters from para military forces, AI, ONGC and other affiliated units of NRAI, who are domicile or having posting in the Northern States as stated above shall be eligible to represent their unit or state. Entries of all participants must be sent through their respective Associations/units only.

Shooters from Rajasthan, who have achieved scores as per Rule 1.4 of NRAI Match Book, may send their entries through RRA Ad-hoc Committee.

Those who are below 21 years and 18 years of age as on 31st December 2017 will be considered under the category of JUNIORS (1997 onwards) and YOUTH (2000 onwards) respectively for the Championship.

Incomplete entry form, without details regarding previous participation and without entry fee and the recommendation of State/Unit will not be accepted. These will be treated as late entries and will only be accepted with triple entry fee and on completion of formalities and subject to the availability of lanes.

THE REGISTRATION FORM IS AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE thenrai.in THE REGISTRATION FEE IS RS. 150/- AND REGISTRATION FORM SHOULD BE SENT THROUGH RESPECTIVE STATE RIFLE ASSOCIATION/UNIT.

Shooters, who achieved scores as per rule 1.4 of NRAI Match Book are eligible to participate in NR Matches of this Championship Shooters achieving MQS as per rule 17.6 of NRAI Match Book during this Championship will be allowed to participate in 61st NSCC.

The Criteria for participation in Rapid Fire Pistol (ISSF) event will be as per rule 17.7 of NRAI Match Book 2016, which is re- produced as under:-
17.7 A shooter may participate in Rapid Fire Pistol event if he qualifies in at least one 25M event in AIGVMSC. He may continue to shoot Rapid Fire Pistol in NSCC if he shoots the minimum score as per rule 17.6 of NRAI Match Book in Rapid Fire Pistol event or in any 25M Pistol events.

If he fails to qualify in Rapid Fire Pistol and other 25M events, the shooter must participate in AIGVMSC to qualify for the Pistol event.

The State Rifle Associations/Units will be imposed a penalty of Rs. 3000/- per shooter in case their shooters score below 15% of the qualifying score as per NRAI Match Book rule 1.4 during 36th North Zone Shooting Championship 2016.

The State/Unit must deposit the penalty amount with NRAI immediately otherwise shooters from that unit/state will not be allowed to participate in any competition conducted by NRAI.

The Secretary General may also call for explanation of the unit/state for sending such shooters. Shooters participating in 37th North Zone Shooting Championship 2017 on the basis of their performance during any competition conducted by NRAI shall be exempted.

A penalty of Rs. 200/- will be charged if a shooter looses his/her competitor card/ equipment control sheet during the competition, fresh card / equipment control sheet will only be issued on deposit of penalty.

Entry fee will not be refunded except in the event of the match being cancelled. The entry fee should be remitted by cash/money/order or by bank draft in favor of The National Rifle Association of India by 9th October 2017. Late entries, if any, will be accepted with three times of normal fee up to 16th October 2017.

Matches will start 09.30 Hrs. Shooters will be permitted to shoot only in the details and lanes allotted to them. No requests regarding change of firing points/relays/dated will be entertained. Protest fee is Rs. 300/-
