Payment

** Entry per Submission for the Script Contest is INR 1500/- (Rupees fifteen hundred only)
** There is no separate fee for participating in the Video Pitch sub contest;
** This is a non-refundable amount even if You are disqualified and/or withdraw Your Submission/s voluntarily;

** Payment may only be made via debit card, credit card or net banking.
** Cheques or cash sent by mail or hand or any mode of payment not set out in 4.3 above will not be accepted;

Submission Rules

If You apply to the Contest, You would have to follow the below conditions
** The Submission/s i.e., Film Story and Script has already been registered with the FWA (or other equivalent association) as provided under these Terms and Conditions;

** The Submission/s is free from any charges, liens, encumbrances or any other third party rights;
** The Entry does not contain any confidential information or any other information relating to any third party that You are not authorised to disclose under contract or otherwise;

** In the event of a co-writer participation, all the obligations and representation shall equally apply to all such Participants and the cash prize, if any, pursuant to these Terms and Conditions shall be equally distribution between all the co-writers.

Rules and Regulations

1. One writer/team can submit as many stories.
2. Participation is strictly online. Any applications sent via post, email or hand will not be considered.
3. Cinestaan India’s Storytellers Contest is solely focused on content for feature films. We will not accept television, documentaries, web-series, digital content, radio, theatre, magazine, short film, novel or game show formats.

4. Entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party.
5. Stories or Scripts already attached to a producer, production house or studio do not qualify.
6. Participation is limited to people above the age of 18 and of Indian origin.
7. Up to three co-writers are allowed per submission.

8. You will be asked for a Logline (50 words), Writer or Team Biography (250 words), and Synopsis (2000 words to 4000 words) for the first round.
9. We will require you to select upto two genres that best represent your story.

10. All participants must register their story with the Film Writers Guild from their respective country of residence prior to applying for the contest. Eg. Screenwriters Association of India (formerly FWA) fwa.co.in/, Writers Guild of America wga.org/

11. Participants will be required to upload a scanned copy of the registration form.
12. Synopsis will be shortlisted by Feb 15th 2018. Shortlisted applicants will be requested to send full scripts via email. Scripts will be due April 15th 2018. Scripts cannot be more than 120 pages in industry-standard format.

13. All entries must be written in Roman English. Hindi written in English is also allowed. Please do not submit scripts in Devanagari script.

Winners

The panel of Jury Members nominated by the Company will read/judge the Story/Script of the top selected Participants who qualify from Second Round. Based on their reading, thereafter the Jury Members will select the 5 (five) winners from the pool of top Participants.

The winners will be awarded a cash prize as follows-
First Prize : INR 25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lacs Only);
Second Prize : INR 10, 00, 000/- (Rupees Ten Lacs Only);
Third Prize : INR 7, 00, 000/- (Rupees Seven Lacs Only);
Fourth Prize : INR 4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lacs only)
Fifth Prize : INR 3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lacs only)
Pitch Video winner : INR 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lac only)

Result

Round 1 Results are Out. Applicants are requested to check their registered email ID or click ‘Titles shortlisted for Round 2’ link in the official page.
