MI-Me Interschool Competition :

** As Howard Gardner famously said, “It’s not how smart you are, it is how you are smart!” At Suncity School we believe in giving them opportunities to explore their potential and in the process learn about their own skills and intelligences.

** Our annual event, ‘Multiple Intelligences and me’ focuses on the Multiple Intelligences that each child is capable of. We are pleased to invite you to the ‘Multiple Intelligences and me’-“MI-me” event, to be held this year on Friday, 24th November, 2017.

** This is the seventh year of our event and we are looking forward to participation from your esteemed organization. The event has been designed keeping in sync with Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligences.

** The widely recognised intelligences like interpersonal, intrapersonal, spatial and naturalistic intelligence besides logical, linguistic, kinesthetic and musical intelligence are found in all human beings and it becomes vital to focus on all the intelligences for developing a holistic personality.

** This event aims to provide a platform to help hone the skills of all eight intelligences and elicit the best from within the child to mold an ‘ABLE and NOBLE’ being.

** A novel event, this competition has an array of specially designed activities, based on the eight intelligences, that each participant will be expected to participate in, to emerge the ‘MI-me’ champion.

** Participation can also be for single categories. These participants however will not be eligible for the MI –me trophy/championship. The event will be judged by an eminent panel of judges across the various intelligences.

Date of competition: Friday, 24th November, 2017
Venue of the competition: Suncity school auditorium, Sector 54, Suncity township, Gurgaon.
Time: 09:00 hours (Registration from 08:30 hours onwards)

** Suncity School will feel privileged to have your students participate in the event.
** Details regarding the same are attached herewith.

Format of the Competition for ‘MI-me’ ACE CHAMPION :
The competition is being organised in four groups :
Group 1: Classes X & XI
Group 2: Classes VIII & IX
Group 3: Classes VI & VII
Group 4: Classes IV & V

** Each group will be represented by a team of TWO participants.
** The team from each group will compete in all of the following categories for the MI-me ACE champion.

Important information :
** Registration will be at 0830hrs.
** All participants are expected to be seated in the auditorium by 0900 hrs. for the lighting of the lamp and the inaugural session.
** Participants to proceed from the auditorium to the respective venues at 0930 hrs.
** Food packets for the participants will be distributed during the course of the competition.

Participation :
** By entering the contest, all teams fully and unconditionally agree to and accept the rules as outlined herein and agree to accept the decision of the judges which are final and binding.

General rules :
** All team members to be in school uniform and to maintain the decorum of the event.
** Reporting time is 8.30 hrs. [Note: Late reporting does not entail extra time.]
** Each team to be accompanied by two teachers.
** Time limit for each competition to be strictly adhered to.
** Art work will be the host school’s property.

** 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded in each event in each category (For the MI-me Championship category).
** In events with Individual participation, 1st and 2nd prize as well as one consolation prize will be awarded only if there are 11 participants in that category.
** The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

Prizes and the Trophy :
** Winners will be announced at a special ceremony at 14.10 hrs in the auditorium.
** The Rolling Trophy will be presented to the over-all winner of the Competition and other suitable trophies/medals/certificates will be presented to the individual winners and runners-up of each event.

** The host school will not lift/lay claim to the overall trophy in the event of winning it and shall forfeit the same to the runner up.

** Press release with names of the winners, and their teachers and schools will be provided for submission to the local media. In the course of printing in the media, any editing done by the newspaper will not be the liability of the host school.

Matters not covered by the rules :
** The Principal of the host school is empowered to make decisions on any matter not otherwise specifically provided for in the rules.
