** In this regard, I am directed to inform you that EC has extended the timeline of the Ouiz as communicated vide their letter No. 491/EC/LET/FUNC/SVEEP-II/National Ouiz/2017dated 08.11.2017.
** ECI has also changed the name of the Ouiz now named as National Election Ouiz; Inter School Contest 2017-18.

Revised timelines/schedule is as under :
Intra School round 1 to 15 November, 2017
Time Line 27 November – 3 December, 2017
2. District Round – 18 December to 24 December, 2017
3. State Round – 2″ Week of January, 2018
4. Semi-Final & Final

2. In this regard, I am directed to inform that the Quiz shall now be called the National Electi iz; Inter School Contest 2017-18

3. The Commission has decided that no Agency would be hired at the national level for preparing the Questionnaires for the District and State Round and these shall be coordinated by the DEOs and CEOs respectively. The Questionnaire of 39 (questions, for the Intra-School round has already been shared with the CEOs. Theintra-School round may be completed by 15th November 2017.

4. The District Round may be a written-test or a stage round, as the District may deem fit. Districts may be asked to get the Questionnaire prepared in Coordination with the education department.

5. The State Level Quiz shall be a Stage based Quiz, and accordingly, Commission has decided to allocate funds to the CEOs to engage expert/agency to coordinate the Quiz at the State level. The details of Funds allocated to each State/UT are given in the annexure, and shall be released within this week.

6. Commission has also directed CEOs to carry out Concurrent evaluation/impact assessment to know the efficacy/weakness of this initiative for future reference. A report on the same should be sent for the perusal of the Commission after the conduct of the NEQ.

7. The Semi-Finals and Final shall be conducted at New Delhi under the Supervision (of the ECI in the second week of January. The date of the same would be intimated in due Course.

8. A logo for the NEQ 2017-18 is being designed and shall be shared soon, All publicity material, event backdrop and merchandise for the Quiz may carry the logo.

9. In view of these modifications, the Timelines as given in the aforementioned letters Stand modified as given in the annexure. The remaining instructions as given in the aforementioned letter regarding remaining aspects of the Quiz remain cortel.
