Student Contest :
** Altair India announces the 7th edition of its popular Optimisation Contest (India AOC 2018 : India)

** This FREE* Contest program is meant for students (UG / PG / Ph.D) of Mechanical, Automobile, Aerospace, Civil & Production Engineering from AICTE approved colleges. This year the contest will cater to different disciplines within CAE (FEA) including Meshing, Linear/Non-Linear Analysis, Optimisation , CFD & MBD using Altair HyperWorks Student Edition.

** The objective of the FREE* AOC 2018 India will be for students to get trained in using HyperWorks for CAE/FEA applications and after getting certified offer solutions to a combination of Altair Defined contest problems covering : HyperMesh/HyperView, OptiStruct RADIOSS, AcuSolve & MotionSolve.

** All completed entries will be judged by Panel of Design & Analysis experts from Altair & our Industry Partners.

Student Contest Awards :
1st Prize: INR 10,000/- worth Voucher + Certificate of Recognition + opportunity to undertake a 2 months off-site internship with Altair India.
2nd Prize: INR 5,000/- worth Voucher + Certification of Recognition + opportunity to undertake a 2 months’ off-site internship with Altair India.
** All complete submissions submitted by due date will get a Certificate of Participation

Faculty Contest :
** This year the contest will cater to analysis Stream (CAE/CFD/MBD)
** We are also pleased to continue with our Industry Partners from past year’s contest – and Welcome New Ones.

** The objective of the AOC India 2018 – India will be for Faculty to offer solutions to a combination of:
Analysis Stream (CAE/CFD/MBD) :
** Defined Optimisation contest problems using Altair’s industry leading optimisation solution “OptiStruct, Radioss, AcuSolve & MotionSolve”

** Their own defined problems analysed / optimised using Altair HyperWorks
** All completed entries will be judged* by Panel of Design & Analysis experts from our Industry Partners at Altair India

Contest Awards from Altair India :
1st Prize: iPad or equivalent Voucher + Certificate of Recognition
2nd Prize: iPad mini or equivalent Voucher + Certification of Recognition
** All complete submissions submitted by due date will get a Certificate of Participation.

Terms & Conditions :
1. Any “Registrant” & “Participant” for the “AOC India 2018” should review and agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. These apply uniformly to all sub-sections of the contest both for students & faculty contests.

2. Contest participation eligibility is restricted to current students of Engineering from India (minimum age of 17 years), undergraduate (BE/B.Tech), post-graduate (ME/M.Tech) or Ph.D programs in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Civil or other Mechanical Engineering related discipline’s.

3. As part of the “AOC India 2018”, Altair India will provide “Participants”
** FREE S/W license of HyperWorks Student Edition 17.0 (“HW-SE”) for use in this contest
** FREE version of Online Training on HyperWorks modules including FE modeling (HyperMesh), FE visualization(HyperView), Solvers for Linear (OptiStruct), non-linear (RADIOSS), multi-body dynamics (MotionSolve), CFD (AcuSolve) & Optimisation (OptiStruct & Inspire).

** FREE online certification on relevant portions (check certification.altairuniversity.com for latest info of certification categories)
** FREE Technical Support – In case of technical queries related to Contest, students can visit our forum at https://community.altair.com/community

4. Students/Faculty participating in this “AOC India 2018” will
** Need to install the “HW-SE” on their computer.

** In case two or more contestants are sharing a computer or HW-SE license, they need to mention that explicitly in their email interaction with “Altair India EDU Team” as well as well as in the contest model agreement during solution submission.

** Get trained by “Altair India EDU team” as mentioned in point 3 above
** Work independently during contest without any external help and deliver the assigned model solutions to Altair
** NO copying/sharing of files is allowed nor expected between participants. Non-compliance of this will result in disqualification of submissions

5. Only “Eligible Participant” – who finish the FREE online certification (certification.altairuniversity.com) will be provided the “Contest Model” problem statements

6. “Participants” in this “AOC India 2018” will need to use only the assigned HyperWorks Student Edition 17.0 (“HW-SE”)for solving all “Contest Model” problem statements.
** Use of illegal versions of the software will NOT be accepted
** Any queries of clarifications on this topic should be done before contest submission.
** Non-compliance of this will result in disqualification of submissions by AOC Team

7. Ranks and Prizes will be decided by “Altair India” nominated panel as per the criteria defined for solving the “Contest Models”. These criteria will be shared with all eligible participants.

8. Decision of “Altair India EDU Team” will be final. Post results announcement, request for sharing/disclosing of other winner participant’s model files will NOT be accepted. Altair India will release model solutions to contest problems on the contest site after the results are announced.

9. Only Complete Entries as per “Contest Model Submission Guidelines” will be considered for Final Results compilation. Model Submission guidelines will be announced by end-December 2017 before release of “Contest Models” to “Eligible Participant”.

10. Eligibility for Contest Participation certificates
** Certification completed as per point 5
** Minimum 50% marks in Contest.
