HAU Hrysanthemum Flower Show & Competition

An annual “Chrysanthemum Flower Show and Competitions” is going to be organized in the CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar by the Department of Botany & Plant Physiology in collaboration with the Land Scape Unit, under the auspices of College of Basic Sciences & Humanities in the Botanical Garden near Gate no. 4 on 23rd December, 2017.

The show will be inaugurated on 23rd December, 2017 at 11.30 AM. The winners of different competitions will be awarded by the Chief Guest on the same day.

Competitive Categories

I Plant competitions for Individual Participants (exhibits to be displayed latest by 4 PM on 22/12/17)
1 Potted Chrysanthemums – a) Standard (one large flower)
b) Standard (many large flowers)
c) Spray type (small flowers)
2 Potted Foliage Plants
3 Potted Palms
4 Potted Cacti and Succulents
5 Potted Marigold
6 Fresh Flower Arrangement
Registration (free) for the above mentioned competitions will remain open from 9.00 AM on 22rd December 2017.

Rules :
1. Minimum 2 or maximum 4 pots will be allowed per entry.
2. The exhibits under category I will be kept in Botanical Garden for both the days.
3. Exhibitors will not be allowed to sale their plant exhibits in Botanical Garden.
4. Single exhibit will be treated as one entry for Fresh Flower arrangement category

II Mehndi Rachhao contest – on 23rd December, 2017 at 11:00 AM
1. For School Students 2. For College Students
Registration (free) for the above mentioned competitions will remain open between 9.00 AM to 11.00 AM on 23rd December 2017.

Rules :
1. A maximum of 4 students per category may be nominated by each school/college.
2. The students will be required to submit the letter from the concerned head of the institution regarding their affiliation & age proof.
1. Participants will have to bring their own mehndi.
2. Schools/colleges are advised not to nominate same students for different categories of competition.

III. On the spot drawing & painting competition on 23rd December 2017 at 10.00 AM for three different Competitive categories:-
1. Junior group (age 7 yr. to 12 yr.)
2. Senior group (age 12 yr. to 17 yr.)
3. College students
Registration (free) will be open on 23rd December 2017 (9.00 AM to 10.00 AM)

Rules :
1. A maximum of 4 students per category may be nominated by each school/college. The students will be required to submit the letter from the concerned head of the institution regarding their affiliation & age proof.
2. Medium of painting will be postal/crayon/water colors.
3. Participants will have to bring their own materials (i.e. pencil, eraser, colors, board, etc.) except the drawing sheet.
4. Schools/colleges are advised not to nominate same students for different categories of competition.

IV. Rangoli Competition on 23rd December 2017 at 10.00 A.M
1. School students 2. College students
Registration (free) will be open on 23rd December 2017 (9.00 AM to 10.00 AM)

Rules :
1. Participants will have to bring their rangoli materials.
2. Maximum 2 rangoli per school/college will be allowed and not more than 2 students will be allowed to make each rangoli.
3. Schools/colleges are advised not to nominate same students for different categories of competition.

V. Declamation contest (on 23.12.2017 at 11..00 AM Senior Group Students (age above 12 yr.)
Registration (free) will be open on 23rd December 2017 (9.00 AM to 10.30 AM)

Rules :
1. Students can speak on anyone of the following topics
a. Women empowerment (Mahila Sashaktikaran)
b. Digital India (Digital Bharat)
c. Organic Farming (Jaivik Kheti)
2. Student can speak either in Hindi or English but not in mixed language
3. 3 to 5 minutes will be given to each student
