HimVani Logo Design Competition

HimVani is looking for a new logo, and here’s a chance to win Rs 2,000, if the logo is adopted by the website. Time to time, we like to uplift ourselves and bring about a change. Hence we’ve decided to give our logo a new look. Here’s a chance for you to design the logo.

The Promoter is HimVani.com, and having its office at 286/A, Civil Lines, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India 176215.** The title of the competition is the HimVani Logo Design Competition.

Eligibility

The competition is only open to residents of India (acting in their own personal capacity) who are at least 13 years old (on the date they submit an entry to the competition). There is no upper age limit. In addition, the following persons (regardless of their age) will not be eligible for the competition

(a) employees of the Promoter;
(b) anyone who is professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
(c) members of the immediate families or households of the persons described in paragraphs (a) and (b) above.

By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that you are eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition at any time.

The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are: automatically generated by computer; completed by third parties or in bulk; illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; and/or incomplete.

Entries that are:
(a) made on behalf of another person;
(b) joint submissions by two or more persons;
(c) made by or on behalf of a partnership or company or other body corporate; and/or
(d) made by a person in his or her capacity as an employee or officer of another party; are not allowed and will be rejected by the Promoter.

How To Enter?

** Entries must be submitted via the form below by the closing date specified in paragraph 4.1 of these terms and conditions.
** The entry form (in the form specified by the Promoter and made available on the Promoter’s website) must also be completed, and Terms & Conditions Agreed by you and submitted by you alongside each design entry.
** Without prejudice to paragraph 8.3 of these terms and conditions, each form entry agreed by you will contain an acknowledgement that your entry is:

(a) exclusively your own work and does not comprise or incorporate any copyright or other intellectual property rights owned by any other person;
(b) is not defamatory or immoral; and
(c) does not infringe any third party rights and/or any agreements to which you are a party.

** Entries must be submitted as a PNG or JPG or PDF and should be no larger in total than 1 Mb.
** Receipt of entries will be acknowledged through an automated return email and all entry information will be retained by the Promoter.
** Neither the Promoter nor any of its employees, agents or representatives will be responsible for the non-receipt and/or non-inclusion of entries in the competition as a result of being lost, late, illegible, incomplete, invalid, or because of technical failures or otherwise, including such failure which is within the control of the Promoter or its employees, agents or representatives.
** The winner by submitting the entry confirms that they have read, understood, and complied with the terms and conditions of this prize draw, and may be required to provide proof of eligibility (including, but not limited to, proof of identity, proof of age and/or proof of residency), as necessary. The proof of eligibility that will be considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.
** The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, alter and/or amend the competition at any stage if deemed necessary in its own opinion and entirely at its own discretion, or if any circumstances arise outside of the Promoter’s control.
** Competition entries cannot be returned by the Promoter.
** There is no limit on the number of entries an individual can submit.
** There is no purchase necessary by you to enter the competition and there is no charge for submitting an entry.

The File:
** The file must be in PNG, JPG or PDF format .
** If the logo is adopted, we’ll ask for the PSD file.

Naming The File:
The file you submit should follow the following naming process: yourname-logo-competition.fileextension

The Look:
** The logo should be simple. It may be graphical, or in words.
** Going forward, HimVani is going to represent the youth, so it should be youthful.
** However, it should not be of old style but modern and should look global. Resist from the usual snow-capped mountains as backdrop.
** It MAY have the word HimVani or HV in it. You can play with the letters if you want to have mountains. ??
** Do NOT use any SERIF font
** You may add a catchline/tagline/positioning statement, if you want.
** Simplicity and elegance get counted.
** Colours should be in harmony with the theme of Himachal

Prizes

** Only one (1) winner will receive the prize. The prize comprises: Rs 2,000 (Indian currency).
** The prize will be as stated in paragraph 5.1 above and is non-transferable and non-refundable. No other alternative is available.
** The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are unable to take up the prize.

Winner Selection

** One winner will be selected from all eligible entries received by the closing date on January 26, 2018 (at midnight).
** The competition entries will be judged by the Editorial team of HimVani. The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final.
** By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, and by the decisions of the Promoter, which are final in all matters relating to the competition.
** Any breach of these terms and conditions will result in the forfeiture of the prize. No correspondence will be entered into.
** The winning entry may be subject to minor alterations or adjustments by the Promoter or its agents, including, but not limited to, in order to ensure practicality of use.
** The winner must be available to provide his/her PAN to be eligible for transfer of prize money by cheque or NEFT.
** If the winner chooses to receive the money by NEFT, he/she should be able to provide his/her Bank Account number along with other relevant details like Bank Name, IFSC Code.
** Cheque will be sent only to the address provided at the time of entry.

Notification of Winner

The Promoter will endeavour to notify the winner around 16th February 2018. The winner will also be announced on himvani.com and through its affiliated social media accounts.

If the winner does not respond to our notification prior to 23rd February 2018 (or such later date as the Promoter specifies for this purpose), the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner could be selected.
