Flyings Quirrel Harvestival Contest

All you have to do is shop at www.flyingsquirrel.in for an amount of Rs. 1000 and over, and get your name entered in a draw that will take place on the 30th of January, 2018. The winner will be announced immediately and you will have a week and a half to pack your bags for the experience of a lifetime!!

Contest Details

Scheduled for the 10th of February, ex-Bengaluru, the winner (+1) will be picked up from the airport or anywhere else. They will be driven to Coorg with a break for lunch on the way. On reaching the estate of Tej Thammaiah from The Flying Squirrel, a quick chat, an introduction to the family and check in at the 130 year old Bamboo Club.

Late afternoon a tour around the farm (there’s about a 130 acres of beautiful coffee land!) and participate in the harvest of ripe coffee cherries with Tej taking our guests through the process of harvesting, how to select coffee cherries for the perfect ripeness, and how this affects the sweetness in the cup.

A pit stop in the middle of the estate under towering trees where the guests are treated to some brewed-on-the-spot coffee and some typical local snacks. Continue with a little more harvesting. This is hard work you know!

Once done, drive back to the club, soak in the beauty of Coorg and settle down to a nice dinner prepared by our local club chefs. Next morning, after a coffee-nourished breakfast, the guests will be driven back to the farm where they will participate in some ‘coffee stomping’ – the way coffee has been processed for years, before machines took over.

A walk through of the coffee drying and processing yards and an understanding of how processing affects coffee taste, and what processing your favourite coffees from The Flying Squirrel goes through.

Check out from the Club, drive to a local restaurant for lunch and head back to Bangalore. You have the option of staying on for an extra day (or coming in a day earlier), with additional expenses taken care of by you.

Terms & Conditions

** The programme is ex-Bengaluru only, guests will be picked up and dropped from anywhere within the city limits of Bengaluru. And the Bengaluru airport of course.
** Dates are fixed since this is a programme about the harvesting of coffee. Any change in dates may be done at the request of the winners, but we’re not sure about making it work. We’ll try!
** Any additional expenses apart from those for food, stay, travel and activities mentioned in the programme will have to be bourne by the winners.
** This is non-transferable. Two winners will be selected. If the FIRST winner is unable to claim the prize, the SECOND winner will be offered the prize.
** If the second winner is unable to claim the prize, FS Gourmet Pv.t Ltd. may or may not offer it to another person.
** The prize cannot be transferred, as all bookings will be done in the name of the winner. The prize cannot be encashed or exchanged for anything else.
** While we will only use reputed car-service operators for the journey from Bengaluru to Coorg, we will not be responsible for any unlikely mishaps on the journey there.
