Nadopasana Irinjalakuda Music Competition
With great pleasure we are happy to inform you that we are conducting an All India Carnatic Music Competition for young talents for the last four years.

This music competition is based on the krithis of Sundaranarayana, who hails from Irinjalakuda and who had composed more than 200 krithis on Lord Guruvayoorappan and other dietes. The winner will be awarded with Guruvayoorappan Gananjali puraskaram and cash prize.
Competition Details
On behalf of Nadopasana, we invite you all to enjoy the Music Competition on 17th and 18th (Saturday and Sunday) February 2018 at Namboothiris College of Teacher Education, Marar Road, West Nada of Sree Koodalmanikyam Temple
Terms & Conditions
The prize distribution will be held on April 2018 on the occasion of swathithirunal music and Dance Festival. We are thankful to all who has supported over the years for this Music Competition as well as for our monthly programmes.
Senior Participants
** Any person between the age group of 16 – 25 years and graded equivalent to B by All India Radio or below (not graded) can participate in this competition.
** The person who has born in the year 1992-2002 or prior to that will not be eligible. The age will be completed Years after birth as on 01-01- 2018
** The organizers will be providing to each participant Twelve krithis.
** The participant has to prepare any ONE krithis of his choice from this, which will available from our youtube link.
** Each Krithi has to be presented with raagaalapanam, niraval and manodharma swaram with accompaniments and will be allotted a maximum of 15 minutes for the total presentation.
** The accompanying artistes will be provided by the organizers
** The winner will be awarded with GURUVAYOORAPPAN GANANJALI PURASKARAM and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-, the First runner up will be given a cash prize of Rs.7500/-and the Second runner up will be given a cash prize of Rs.5000/- along with a plaque and a ponnada
** The winner will be given an opportunity to present a full fledged concert in the Swati thirunal Music and Dance Festival conducted by Nadopasana in April 2018
** The Guru’s of the winner will be awarded with a “Swarna Mudra of Guruvayoorappan”
Junior Participants
** Any person between the age of 10-16 years and. ie the person who has born in the year 2008-2002 will be Eligible. or prior to that will not be eligible.
** The age will be completed Years after birth as on 01-01- 2018
** The organizers will be providing to each participant Eleven krithis.
** The participant has to prepare any ONE krithis of his choice from this, which will available from our youtube link.
** Each Krithi is NOT to be presented with raagaalapanam, niraval and manodharma swaram . and will be allotted a maximum of 10 minutes for the total presentation.
** The accompanying artistes will be provided by the organizers.
** The winner will be given a cash prize of Rs. 5,000/-, the First runner up will be given a cash prize of Rs.3,000/-and the Second runner up will be given a cash prize of Rs.2,500/-
Common Rules
** If there is any conflict in lyrics or raga or tala between the song given to you in writing and the same song rendered in the YouTube provided, please follow those in the song in the YouTube.
** The competition will be held in two stages- the preliminary round and the Final. However , if the number of participants exceed a certain limit, one more stage- the second round, will be included.
** The competitions will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb 17 h & 18 th 2018 at Irinjalakuda
** No registration fee will be collected from the participants and the participant has to make their own travelling arrangements.
** The competition will be held under one section only .There will be no separate section for Male and Female participants.
** The decisions taken by the organizing committee will be final.
** The time and venue will be informed in due course.
