Star Jalsha Parivaar Awards 2018 Poll” organized, conducted and brought to you by STAR India Private Limited on its Bengali television channel “STAR JALSHA” and STAR JALSHA HD based on the program ‘Star Jalsha Parivaar Awards, 2018’ to be telecast on the Channel in the month of April, 2018.

Polling Period

The poll for voting commences tentatively from February 02, 2018 at 00:00:00 hours IST and shall conclude onFebruary 14, 2018 at 23:59:59 hours IST (‘ Poll/Polling Period’).

Who Can Participate?

The Viewers interested in participating in the Poll must be above the age of eighteen (18) years, must be a citizen of India and must be a resident of India during the applicable Poll Period.

How To Participate?

To participate in the Poll, the Viewer shall be required to have a mobile phone/ device registered with a valid mobile operator and be a viewer of the Channel and its programs.

A Viewer may participate a s many times during the Polling Period using the same registered mobile number each day of the Polling Period for each Nominee, which will be considered as the final and single entry against that particular Nominee.

It is clarified that only the first vote cast for each Nominee by the Viewer, shall be considered as the single entry against the respective Nominees during the Poll Period.

Multiple votes cast by the Viewers against the same Nominee during the Polling Period, shall be considered as null and void. This shall be final and binding upon the Viewers under these Terms and Conditions.

During the Poll Period the Viewers will be asked to cast their vote to choose their favorite nominee(s) from among the various categories provided at the complete discretion of STAR India (each a ‘Category ’) as stated below.

The Viewer(s) interested in participating and qualifying for the Poll (‘Voter(s)’) will have to type the codes through their mobile phones/ devices, registered with a valid telecom operator, as mentioned herein below (‘Voting Codes’) and send the vote to 57827 (‘Vote’) (collectively ‘Entry/ Entries’).

It is hereby clarified that this Poll shall be open to only those Viewers who have a mobile phone/ device in order to participate in the Poll.

Voting Format

The Voting Codes of the nominees under the given Categories (‘ Nominations’) are as follows:

The SMS containing the above mentioned keyword(s) with the Voting Code(s) and in such manner as stated hereinabove must be sent by the Voter(s) to 57827 only during the Poll Period.

Any SMS sent before or after the Poll Period stated in these Terms and Conditions shall not be considered by STAR India and shall be null and void. (Each an ‘Entry’).

For the sake of clarity, a Voter can cast an Entry for a particular Category only once during the Poll Period.

Charges

Each SMS sent by the Voter for voting shall be chargeable at the current applicable rates given below. STAR India shall not be liable for any change in the applicable SMS charges and the Viewers are advised to check and confirm the same with their respective telecom operators

Any costs or expenses incurred to participate in the Poll shall be solely borne by the Viewers and STAR India shall not be liable for any such costs or expenses.

Winners

The winners selected from amongst the nominees in the Category who have garnered the most number of votes in their Category from the Polls at the end of the Poll Period, will be declared on the Channel, ie Star Jalsha during the telecast of the event ‘ Star Jalsha Parivaar Awards, 2018 ‘and/or at any other time as deemed fit by STAR India.

It is understood that any announcement based on the Polling, shall be at the sole discretion of STAR India and the Viewer shall in no event challenge and/or dispute the decision made by STAR India in this regard including in connection with the number of Votes for the eventual winner(s), the aggregation of the same.
