Sony Picture This Festival For The Planet

Sony Pictures Television Inc., whose address is 10202 West Washington Boulevard, Culver City, California 90232 (“Principal Host”), a group company of the Indian Sponsor is hosting a global short film competition ‘2018 Picture This’ Festival for the Planet (“Competition”) .

Sony Pictures Networks India Private Limited (“Indian Sponsor”), whose address is 4th Floor Interface Building No 7, off Malad Link Road, Malad (w) Mumbai 400064 is hosting the Competition for the Indian territory (“Contest”) during the Contest Period. The Indian Sponsor and the Principal Host shall collectively be referred to as “Sponsors”.

Eligibility and Sponsor

The Contest is open only to legal residents of India who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.

Employees of the Sponsors and their contractual agents (including advertising, marketing and promotion agencies) participating in the administration or fulfillment of the Contest, the United Nations Foundations, the World Photography Organization, WeTransfer , as well as each of their parent corporations, subsidiaries and affiliated companies (collectively, “Contest Entities”), and their immediate families (defined as spouse, mother, father, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, grandparents and in-laws, regardless of where they live), are ineligible to participate in the Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations of India.

Agreement to Official Rules:
By participating in the Contest, entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these official rules (the “Official Rules”), any rules and regulation of the Principal Host published on the Contest Page and the decisions of the Sponsors, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.

Whether an entrant receives a Prize (as defined below) is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

Timing

The Contest begins on January 30, 2018 (“IST”) and ends on April 30, 2018 (the “Contest Period”). Entries must be received during the Contest Period to be eligible to win the WeTransfer Plus account, Runner-Up Prize, Top India Prize or Grand Prize (as defined below).

How to Enter

In order to enter, each participant must create a work of audio-video content in length between 1 minute and 8 minutes focusing on a positive vision of the future of our planet including topics such as quality education and clean water & sanitation. See sonypicturethis.com (the “Contest Page”) for more detail on the subject matter of the video.

The entrant would be required to fill out the application form and upload such video content (“Content”) on the Contest Page. The entrant’s video submission should be under 300 megabytes, can be recorded on any device and must be in one of the following formats: AV1, MOV, WMV, MP4, MPEG, FLV, 3GP and 3G2.

The entrant would then have to press the “Submit” button, and obtain an acknowledgement of the entrant’s entry thereafter on the Contest Page. All submissions that contain significant non-English dialogue must include on-screen English subtitles at the time of submission.

Winner Determination

India: 3 (three) entrants from India will be chosen, of which 1 (one) Top Indian Winner and 2 (two) Indian Runners-Up will be chosen by a designated panel of judges engaged by the Indian Sponsor, based on the criteria set forth below.

Finals:
The Finals winner (“Finals Winner”) will be chosen from regional winners from around the world by a designated panel of judges comprised of media industry members and environmental impact leaders engaged by the Principal Host, based on the criteria set forth below and will be announced at the Finals live event in Los Angeles, California, USA, during July 2018 (date to be announced).

The Indian Runner-Up, We Transfer Winners, Top Indian Winner and the Final Winner shall be referred to as “Winner(s)”.

Prize

Top India Prize:
The top winner of the Contest from India (the “Top Indian Winner”) will win the chance to compete with the regional winners from around the world for the Grand Prize, a Sony RX0 camera*, along with a one year We Transfer Plus account (“Top India Prize”).

The Grand Prize will be announced and handed over at Competition finals event (“Finals”) to be held in Los Angeles, California in July 2018 (date to be announced).

The Top Indian Winner does not need to be present at the Finals to win the Grand Prize, however, subject to the terms and conditions of the Official Rules, the Top Indian Winner will also be entitled to 2 economy class return-tickets, 2 nights’ accommodation in one hotel room in Los Angeles, California, US$100 in the form of hotel credit for the Top Indian Winner and his/her guest.

*If the Top Indian Winner is the Grand Prize winner, the Top Indian Winner will not receive the Sony RX0 camera and will receive the Sony A6500 camera and SEL 1670 camera lens instead.

Runner-Up Prize: Two (2) runner-up winners of the Contest from India (“Indian Runners-Up”) will each win a Sony PJ675 Handycam® with Built-in Projector (HDR-PJ675) camera (each “Runner-Up Prize”).

WeTransfer Plus account winners: The first one hundred entrants to submit an entry for the Contest shall win a one (1) year ‘We Transfer Plus’ account (“WeTransfer Winners”).

In the event that a participant is chosen as both a We Transfer Winner and Top India Winner, he/she shall be entitled to receive a total of two (2) annual We Transfer Plus accounts that shall run concurrently from the date(s) of such account(s) activation and the second We Transfer account may be used by the India Top Winner after deactivation of the first WeTransfer account.

The WeTransfer Winners will each be informed by email with a redeemable code to activate his/her WeTransfer Plus account.

Grand Prize: The winner of the Finals will win a Sony A6500 camera and SEL1670 camera lens (the “Grand Prize”).

Contest Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made unless Sponsors, in their discretion, determines otherwise. Sponsors reserves the right to substitute a Prize for one of equal or greater value should it become unavailable for any reason. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with Prize receipt and/or use.

Please note that approximate retail values listed here are reasonable estimates and actual value may change depending on many factors, including, for example, fluctuations in hotel occupancy at the time of booking, fuel costs and depreciation of the technology package from purchase date to fulfillment, etc.
