Keeping in mind the above quote, we bring you a platform where you can showcase various socio-legal issues through the most effective mode of communication i.e. motion pictures.

The aim of the competition is to subsume various prevalent socio-legal issues with the objective to create the perennial effect by visual reflection.

‘Emotion is energy in motion’ with this shibboleth Legal Aid Clinic, Institute of Law, Nirma University on its Ninth Anniversary presents National Socio-Legal Film Making Competition: Chal Chitra 2018.

Competition Outcome

The competition will result in some thought provoking piece of works. The organizer will compile selected videos in a suitable form. The compilation also will be uploaded to YouTube. It is a complete matter of discretion for the organizer to prepare compilation or not. The compilation will only be possible if good qualities of films are received in sufficient numbers.

Note: Organizers reserve the right to amend any condition or cancelling out the event

Submission Guidelines

** Any person/organization/institutions etc. from India can participate in the competition.
** The film must cover Social and Legal Aspects.
** The film must not be the duration of more than 7 minutes.
** The film should carry originality i.e. contain on groundwork. It should not be a compilation of different clips from YouTube or any other sources.
** The film could be in either of three languages, namely English, Hindi and Gujarati. It must have English sub-title.
** The film should not have been submitted to anywhere.
** There should not be any copyright violation. Proper references to be cited at proper places.
** The submission shall include proper details of the team members at least including details about Director and Script Writer.
** Film to be submitted in MP4/AVI format and be sent to legalaidclinic AT nirmauni.ac.in, with proper Title and description of the film.
** The film must not be uploaded anywhere i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. or communicated to anybody until the result is announced.
** Violation of this guideline will lead to disqualification of entry.

Judging Criteria

** The Content which is showcased includes the quality of script, acting, and innovation and creativity.
** The Aim of the film which includes the message conveyed, the showcased section of society, and the theme.
** The Technical Quality which includes Cinematography, Editing, and AV quality.
