SOF is a Registered Organization popularizing competition and assisting development of competitive spirit among school children.

Olympiads

SOF organizes 6 Olympiads each year.

1. International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO)

2. International English Olympiad (IEO)

3. National Science Olympiad (NSO)

4. International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)

5. National Cyber Olympiad (NCO)

6. International Company Secretaries Olympiad (ICSO)

Who Can Participate?

** Students from Class I to XII can participate in IEO/NSO/IMO/NCO.
** The ICSO is open to the students of classes 11 & 12.
** The IGKO is open to the students of classes 1 to 10

How To Participate?

The Registration forms are only for schools. SOF does not accept individual participation. Students may register through their schools only.

Students Registration

** Students should register through their respective schools only. Individual registrations by students are not accepted.
** Prospectus containing the Registration forms are sent to all schools registered with SOF.
** Schools not registered may also request for prospectus by sending an e-mail at info@sofworld.org/ phone call.
** Schools must return the registration forms to SOF, duly filled in and complete in all respects by the due date.

Registration Fees

A participation fee of Rs.100/Student/Olympiad, is to be collected by the school from the students for and on behalf of SOF and sent to SOF.

The school may collect an additional Rs.20/Student/Olympiad on its own account and utilise it towards honorarium of the incharge, remuneration to teachers to teach/guide using study material supplied by SOF and for offsetting miscellaneous expenses.

Payment Mode :
Schools participating in the Olympiad may courier the completed forms to us along with payment.

Payment may be remitted by any of the following modes:
1. Demand Draft OR Multicity Cheque – Drawn in the favor of Science Olympiad Foundation payable at Delhi.
2. Online Transfer – NEFT/RTGS – In any of the following bank accounts.

SOF Olympiad Levels

NCO : The NCO is a single level exam conducted on two dates.
NSO : NSO is conducted at two levels
IEO: The IEO is conducted on two levels.
IMO: The IMO is conducted on two levels each year.
IGKO: The IGKO is a single level exam conducted on two dates
ICSO: The ICSO is a single level exam conducted on two dates

Level 1 Exam

** The first level of the test is organized in the respective schools of the participants during school hours
** The paper is an objective-type test of 60 minutes duration comprising 35 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for classes 1 to 4 and 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for classes 5 to class 12.
** There are separate question papers for each class.
** The medium of the test is English.
** CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabi are followed for setting the test papers.
** The exam is conducted during school hours.

Level 2 Exam

The level 2 is conducted for students of class 3 to class 12.

Students who qualify for the 2nd level exam include,
** Top 5% of students’ class wise, who appear for the 1st level exam,
** Zone wise top 25 rank holders class wise, and
** Class toppers from each participating school where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam & scores 50% qualifying marks.

Olympiads Question Pattern

The level 1 competition is an objective-type test of 60 minutes duration comprising 35 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 1 to class 4 and 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 5 to class 12

NCO :
The question paper consists of three sections:

Section-1: Logical Reasoning
Section-2: Computers and Information Technology
Section-3: Achievers Section

NSO :
The question paper consists of three sections:

For Class 1 to Class 10:
Section-1: Logical Reasoning
Section-2: Science
Section-3: Achievers Section

For Class 11 and Class 12:
Section-1: Physics/Chemistry
Section-2: Achievers Section
Section-3 : Mathematics/Biology

IEO:
The question paper consists of four sections:

Section-1:Word & Structure Knowledge
Section-2: Reading
Section-3: Spoken & Written Expression
Section-4: Achievers Section

IMO:
The question paper consists of four sections:

Section-1: Logical Reasoning
Section-2: Mathematical Reasoning
Section-3: Everyday Mathematics
Section-4:Achievers Section

ICSO:
The question paper consists of five sections:

Section-1: Quantitative Analysis Reasoning
Section-2: Economics
Section-3: Business Studies
Section-4: Accountancy
Section-5: Achievers Section

SOF Olympiad Syllabus

The syllabus of the Olympiads is the syllabus as prescribed by the CBSE, ICSE and various state boards. If you sit for the second level and have moved onto the next class, the syllabus will remain the same (i.e. of the previous class). The details of syllabus are also posted on the Foundation’s website.

SOF Olympiad Schedule

SOF Olympiad exam dates are released for academic session 2018-19.

Results

Results of Olympiads are declared within 8 weeks of each examination. The results are sent to the schools concerned. The results are also made available on our website.

** Participation Certification to each student.
** Merit certificate to 2nd level participants.
