K-Pop Contest India

K-Pop Contest 2018 India is a nationwide contest. K-pop is a musical genre originating in South Korea that is characterized by a wide variety of audiovisual elements.

Eligibility

** Anyone interested in K-Pop.
** No age restriction.
** Korean Nationalities are not allowed to enter.
** Indian Nationals currently living abroad can also participate, as long as they are able to attend the regional round in India.

Non-Indians (besides Koreans) can participate with the following conditions :
Indians must comprise of 2/3rds of the Group. For example if there are 7 dancers in a group, 2 members can be Non-Indians and 5 must be Indian. Same goes for Vocal groups, in a group of 4 singers, 1 member can be Non-Indian and 3 must be Indian.

** Previous Grand Finale 1st prize winning teams are not allowed to enter and team members of those teams are not allowed to enter.
** Participants can participate in both Vocal and Dance groups, but not more than one each.

Contest Period

Entries will be accepted from 16th April, 2018 11:00am (IST) till 14th May, 2018 11:59am (IST)

Rules For Online Round

** Multiple entries will not be entertained.
** Any entry apart from K-POP will not be entertained
** No English songs or English versions of Korean songs will be acceptable, even if performed by Korean artists.

** One FULL song must be performed; there is no limitation on time.
** Participants must apply to one region that they are currently based in/ nearest to.
** Full names of all the members should be clearly mentioned in the registration form.
** The number of members cannot be changed and members cannot be replaced under any circumstances.

Vocal

** The number of vocalists in a group can vary within 1-4 only.
** The K-pop Song should be covered 100% and freestyle is NOT allowed.

** Rapping is allowed. In this case the selection criteria for vocalists will be utilized to mark your performance, and hence if you are confident in your rapping skills, and pronunciation, you may apply.

** Studio recording is NOT allowed.
** Merging of songs is NOT allowed.
** Editing of videos in any form is NOT allowed.
** Vocalists’ faces must be clearly visible in the video.

** The number of back up dancers must not exceed 2.
** The video’s sound quality should be good.
** Vocals should be audible.

Dance

** You MUST have the same number of group members as the idol group whose songs you will perform.
** Dancers’ faces must be clearly visible in the video.

** Video quality should be good.
** Solo Dance is not allowed.

Online Selection Criteria

Vocal :
** Voice Ability – 60%
** Expression and pronunciation – 20%
** Stage Charisma – 20%

Dance :
** Choreography (Composition, Uniformity) – 40%
** Technique – 30%
** Stage Charisma – 30%

How to Participate?

To Participate in K-Pop Contest 2018 India just follow the simple steps mentioned below

Step 2 : Then click Upload link in the menu bar and fill the following details.

1. Enter your User Id – SAME AS EMAIL ID(required)
2. Enter your Password (required)
3. Select your Region of Participation (required)
4. Select Vocal or Dance (required)
5. Enter your Participants Name Or Team Name (required) Eg.: Immortals Army, Staccato

6. Enter Number of Members (required)
7. Enter the Names of All Members (required)
8. Enter your Name Of The K-Pop Song & Band (required) Eg.: BTS-Dope
9. Enter your State (required)
10. Enter your City (required)
11. Enter your Active Contact No 1 (Required)

12. Enter your Active Contact No 2 (Required)
13. Enter your Postal Address (Required)
14. Enter your Video Title (required)
15. Upload your Video Link (required)

Step 3 : Tick the check box I Agreed to all the terms
Step 4 : Enter the contents of image and Click Confirm button

How To Register Your Video?

Step 1 : Upload your video to YouTube.
Step 2 : Click the ‘Share’ link below the YouTube video.
Step 3 : Copy the YouTube video URL.(NOT the URL in your browser’s Address bar)
Step 4 : Paste the URL in the VIDEO LINK box above.

Regional Round

i. In case of exceptional talents in any region, the guest judge will have the authority to issue a wild card.

ii. Regional rounds will be held in 11 locations; with the condition that each region should have a minimum of 10 uploads to qualify for holding the regional round. If uploads in any region are below 10, the regional round will be shifted to the nearest region.

iii. Locations chosen for Regional Rounds :
** Delhi
** Mumbai
** Chennai
** Kolkata
** Patna
** Bangalore
** Odisha
** Hyderabad
** Mizoram
** Manipur

Final Round

Vocal :
** Song(s) must remain the same as the uploaded video.
** A surprise element should last only 20 seconds and can only be done in the final round.
** Special effects (Background video, lighting etc) will NOT be provided.
** The number of vocalists must remain the same as uploaded video.

** In case of unforeseen circumstances, replacing members will NOT be allowed. You may continue with fewer members. This is KCCI’s discretion, depending upon the severity of your circumstance.
** The number of back up dancers must not exceed 2.

Dance :
** A surprise element should last only 20 seconds and can only be done in the final round.
** The number of dancers must remain the same as uploaded video.
