8th National Education Day Online Essay Competition 2015:

The All India Council for Technical Education Regional Office,‘ Chennai has forwarded the copy of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, New Delhi Resolution stating to observe 11th November, every year as National Education Day throughout the Country i.e. on the birthday of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a great freedom fighter, an eminent Educationalist and the first Union Minister of Education.

In connection with Birthday of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the Ministry of HRD through AICTE instructed to conduct an on line Essay Competition on the topic Importance of Education and the Nation’s Commitment in all aspects of Education. According to the communication, the AICTE Regional Office, Chennai will award 3 Cash Prizes of Rs.5,000/-, Rs.3,000/- and Rs.2,000/- for the First , Second and Third Prize/Winners from the Technical Institutions in Tamil Nadu.

The AICTE Regional Office, Chennai has requested us to conduct the online Essay Competition between 23rd and 30th of November, 2015. Therefore, it is proposed to conduct the Essay Competition on 27.11.2015 in all the Engineering Colleges and Polytechnic Colleges in our State. The Principal of the Engineering College / Polytechngic College are requested to conduct the online Essay Competition on 27th November,2015 and to mail the best one from the Institution on the same day evening after scrutiny by aw‘duly constituted selection Committee under the Chairmanship of the Principal of the Polytechnic College / Engineering College along with the Minutes.

The following guidelines should be followed to conduct the National Education Day Essay Competition:
The Essay competition is open to all the students of Technical Institutes/AICTE Approved Institutes and topic for the essay is “Importance of Education and the Nation’s Commitment in all aspects of Education”. The selected essay to be sent to DOTE only through the email address tndote@gmail.com.

Note:

i. Only one Essay per student is allowed. Once the Essay is submitted it is final and no revision is allowed. The student should clearly mention his/her Name, Institution name with Address, Course name, Mobile number and e-mail address (In the end of essay in a separate sheet).
ii. The Essay should be written in English (Times New Roman.) in double line spacing and not exceeding 1500 words in word or pdf format.
iii. The Best one selected Essay should be sent to DOTE before 5.00 pm. on 27th November,2015 only through e-mail tndote@gmail.com.
