Debi Choudhurani SMS Contest is organized and conducted by STAR India Private Limited on its Bengali television channel “STAR JALSHA”.

Who Can Participate?

The Contest will be held on the Channel during the Contest Period and is open for participation by Viewers of the Channel in India only, must be above the age of eighteen (18) years, must be a citizen of India and must be a resident of India during the Contest Period

Contest Period

The Contest shall commence on the Channel from 8.30 pm on July 16, 2018 and shall conclude on 12 a.m. on July 29, 2018 (both days inclusive)

Contest Details

The Contest shall comprise of 1 (one) multi choice question based on the Program, which will flash on the Channel on each day of the Contest Period, during or immediately after the Program. Thus, the total number of Questions during the Contest Period shall not exceed 14 (fourteen) in number.

The answer to a particular Question shall be submitted by the Participant in the manner provided below, any time after the relevant Question is flashed on the Channel but before 12 a.m. of that particular day of the Contest Period.

How To Participate?

** To participate in the Contest, the Viewer shall be required to have a mobile number registered with a valid mobile operator.
** A Viewer may participate a s many times during the Contest Period using the same registered mobile number.
** It is clarified that only the first Entry submitted against each Question by the Viewer shall be considered as the single and final entry against that particular Question during that Contest Period.
** Multiple Entries by the participant against the same Question during the Contest Period, shall be considered as null and void.
**  During the Contest Period, the Viewers will be asked to participate in the Contest and provide 1 (one) correct answer option from among the various options provided for each Question flashing on the Channel in the Contest Period.
** The Viewer(s) interested in participating and qualifying for the Contest will have to type the option codes provided below through their registered mobile number on each day of the Contest Period and submit the chosen answer option to 57827 any-time during the Answer Period.
** It is hereby clarified that this Contest shall be open to only those Viewers who have a mobile phone/ device in order to participate in the Contest.
** It is further clarified that each Question shall have only 1 (one) correct answer and hence SMS should contain the respective keywords followed specified above followed by their options <A/B/C> for the Question.

The Participation Codes for each day of the Contest Period shall be as follows:

Charges

Each SMS sent by the Participant for contest entry shall be chargeable at the current applicable rates given below.

Prizes

Each Winner’s sole gratification shall be a gift hamper of a popular brand [not exceeding a monetary value of INR 3,000 (Rupees Three Thousand only) each.

Selection Process

At the end of the Contest Period, on the basis of the Participant(s) having made a valid Entry and having sent the correct Answer to the Question(s), Star India shall shortlist 3 (three) winners for each Question flashed during the Contest Period.

Contacting Winners

Once the Winner is shortlisted, the Winners will be contacted by Star India on the registered number of the Winner(s) from which the Entry was sent for the Contest. Winner(s) are unavailable to answer the call, Star India shall make maximum 2 attempts to connect to the Winner(s).

In case any Winner(s) is unavailable on both the attempts, the selection of that Winner(s) shall be invalidated and Star India at its sole discretion may select another Winner(s) by following the process specified above.

Once the Winner is selected and confirmed by Star India, the Winners shall be announced on the official social media handles of STAR (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) approximately around 6:00 pm on the day immediately following the day on which the relevant Question flashed on the Channel or at such time deemed fit by STAR at its sole discretion.
