My STEM Time is conducting STEM Contest under which schools and institutes from India can participate. As a part of this contest, the students and teachers are supposed to upload videos that revolve around a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concept.

How To Participate?

There’s no participation fee for entering this contest. A school automatically becomes a part of the contest when a student or teacher uploads at least one video on the portal. There are also separate prizes for both these groups.

How To Make The Videos?

For making a STEM video:
** The student or a teacher has to first identify a relevant STEM topic.
** This is followed by the use of a STEM kit or related items to create a model related to that topic.
** The participant needs to record a good quality video of the concept being explained using the model.
** The final step is uploading of the video on My STEM Time portal.

Judging Criteria

Evaluation of participating schools will be based on the following criteria:

** Number of videos uploaded by the students and teachers of the school along with new registrations of students/teachers on My Stem Time portal from the School (20%)
** Number of Views/Comments/Star ratings (15%)
** Conceptualization& Implementation, along with Description & Presentation (35%)
** Quality of the Video (15%)
** Use of latest Technology/Kit (15%)

Prizes

The moderators will select three winners among participating schools.

The prizes include:
1st Prize: Setup of Tinkering Lab worth Rs. 7 lakhs on the lines of Atal Tinkering Labs.
2nd Prize: Setup of STEM Lab worth Rs. 3.5 lakhs
3rd Prize: Setup of STEM Lab worth Rs. 2 lakhs

Each prize comes with equipment for the lab, curriculum, books, and training by the STEM experts.

What’s a Tinkering Lab?
A tinkering lab is a technology laboratory similar to Atal Tinkering Labs that are being established by Indian government in the schools of India. These labs give the students a chance to learn about latest technologies like 3D printing, drones, microcontrollers, etc.

The learners are also encouraged to develop something innovative using these technologies and other available resources in the lab.

What’s a STEM LAB?
A STEM Lab consists of educational kits and resources that instill STEM-related learning. The students learn about simple machines, robotics, electronics, and mathematical concepts through hands-on learning.

Contest Terms

** Contest entries shall be judged or winners selected on the basis of those criteria specified on our website and/or social media channels in relation to the contest.
** If a contest entrant does not meet the eligibility requirements or is subject to any entry restrictions, that entrant shall not be entitled to be adjudged a winner, and will not be entitled to a prize in any circumstances.
** Our decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
** The results of a Contest will be announced on our website within 15 days following the closing date of the competition.
** No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
** Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
** You grant to us an exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to copy, store, edit, distribute, transmit and publish your contestentries.
** We may undertake publicity activities relating to competitions and prize awards.
** All pictures of prizes shown are for illustration purpose only. Actual prize may vary due to product enhancement.
