Khula Aasmaan Art Competition
Khula Aasmaan along with Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is happy to announce a special international painting contest to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Who Can Participate?
Children and young adults of all nationalities between the age group 10 to 25 years are invited to participate. The contest is online and open 24 x 7. The participation is FREE.
How To Participate?
The participants to this international art contest for children and college students can participate online by filling up the contest form provided and uploading the images of their artworks. Please read the terms and conditions for this contest.

The contest opens on 2nd October 2019 (150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi) and closes on 30th January 2020 (death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi).
The participants are free to use any medium of their choice for their submission. They can use pencils, colour pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, pen & ink, watercolours, acrylic and oil paints. The base could be paper or canvas. The size of the artwork should A4 (21 x 29.7 centimeters) or A3 (29.7 x 42.0cm).
Art Contest Results
** The first shortlist will be declared on 15 February 2020
** The shortlisted artworks are to be sent to Khula Aasmaan for final judging latest by 10 March 2020.
** Final result will be declared on 31 March 2020.
** Online exhibition of all prize winning and shortlisted artworks will open on 15 April 2020
** Prize distribution ceremony will be organised during summer holidays of 2020 (between 1 May to 15 June 2020) at a location to be notified later.
** Exhibition/s of prize winning and select artworks will be held from summer of 2020 onwards. Details to be notified later.
** E-book of prize winning and select artworks will be published and will be available for free download.
** The painting being submitted for this contest should be an original work of art created by the participant.
** If an artwork wins any prize or gets shortlisted and it is subsequently established that it is not an original artwork but a copy, Khula Aasmaan retains the right to revoke any prize or honor or shortlist status awarded to that particular artwork.
** The initial submission should be an image of the artwork only. Please do not send the original artwork unless it is shortlisted and asked for by Khula Aasmaan.
** The intellectual property rights of the artwork will remain with the artist / creator.
** After the shortlist is announced, the original paintings (only those which are shortlisted) are required to be sent to Khula Aasmaan for final judging.
** The terms and conditions governing the dispatch and use of these paintings will be sent to the shortlisted child artists and young artists on an individual basis.
** The decision of Khula Aasmaan in terms of shortlisting and judging will be final and no representations or requests regarding the same will be entertained.
