Disney+ Hotstar Home Dancer
‘Home Dancer’ conducted by Novi Digital Entertainment Private Limited and hosted on the platform ‘Disney+Hotstar’.
Home Dancer is a home-based digital dance reality Contest, where Participant(s) can upload and submit their dance videos shot at home, performed to a song chosen from a list and theme specified on the Microsite. Best performers stand a chance to win exciting cash prizes.
Watch the episode on Thursday, May 28, to know if you’re starring in Home Dancer on Disney+ Hotstar. There are two episodes per week. Send multiple videos, and increase your chances of winning.
** Any person who is a citizen and resident of India and who meets the eligibility criteria set out in the Terms and Conditions of the Contest can be the main participant in the Contest.
** In case, a minor is participating/performing, we would also need the parental consent. This contest is for anyone who enjoys dancing – professional or non-professional.
The Contest shall commence from May 15, 2020 and conclude on June 29, 2020 (both dates inclusive).
When in lockdown, dance from home. Brownie points if you use lockdown essentials such as brooms, mops, kadai, belan, masks etc. in your dance performance.
How Can I Participate?
Participating is super easy! Just 5 quick steps
Step 1 : On Disney+ Hotstar App, search for Home Dancer and click on Participate Now button to reach the microsite, where you will be submitting the video.
Step 2 : On the microsite, theme of the week and the song list will be announced every Friday, 9:00 AM. Select a song from the list, follow the theme and record your dance video. (Solo/group performances – both are allowed).
This theme will be applicable to both the contest cycles in the week. Please submit your entries by the respective episode deadlines to be eligible for contesting.
Step 3 : Enter your personal details, click a selfie (ensure that your selfie is a clear picture) accept the Terms and Conditions of the Contest.
Step 4 : Upload your dance video along with your personal details as per the Do’s and Don’ts.
Step 5 : Click on Submit. Voila! You are done! Please note, the selected entries from each of the two cycles (Fri – Tues) & (Tue – Fri) will appear in the episodes published on Home Dancer in the following week i.e. Monday and Thursday.
Only after doing the above, your entry will be considered as complete and valid.
The Video should :
** be taken via mobile phones and/or tablets;
** be in landscape mode;
** be audible, having a good audio/sound quality;
** be taken through the default camera application of the mobile phone and/or table;
** be visually clear, well-lit and should not be pixelated or distorted and should be taken on ‘HD’ or ‘High Definition’ mode;
** not be shaky / unstable;
** have a buffer of 3 (three) to 5 (five) seconds at the beginning and end;
** use any 1 song from the list of songs applicable to the Contest Cycle and set out at the Microsite and be in accordance with the theme for the Contest Cycle as set out at the Microsite;
** be of a minimum duration of 60 (sixty) seconds and a maximum duration of 90 (ninety) seconds;
** be shot against a clean and uncluttered background;
** feature individuals appropriately dressed, without any obscenity or revealing clothes;
** be shot in the premises of the Participants’ houses, connected areas or private spaces and not shot in any public spaces;
** not contain any weapons or objects of religious/national importance (Indian National Flag, National Emblem, Religious Imagery etc.);
** not contain any watermarks or logos, filters and shall be free and clean of any product placement or brand integration or endorsement; and
** not be edited using any film making effects (lapse photography, slow motion, half speed, etc.).
“Preliminary Round” means the selection process of each Contest Cycle as detailed herein, to be conducted inter alia in the manner, which the Participant(s) is required to qualify/be selected to participate in the Online Voting Round.

Online Voting Process
Novi shall publish the Video(s) of each of the Shortlisted Participant as part of a special episode/show along with other Shortlisted Entries and clips from judges/celebrities/anchor(s).
The Episode for each Contest Cycle shall be published on the Platform on the following dates and time or such other date and time as determined by Novi,

Selection & Shortlisting Process
The Participant(s) shall be evaluated and shortlisted by the Panel on the overall basis of his/her performance, quality, grace, personality, technique, selection of act, ideas, entertainment factor, uniqueness, etc. or any such other criteria determined by the Panel .
Such Shortlisted Participants shall be eligible for participation in the Online Voting Round of that Contest Cycle or the next Contest Cycle.
For each Contest Cycle, the top 3 (three) qualifying and eligible Shortlisted Participants having received the highest number of votes via the Platform Voting Mechanism shall be declared as “Winners”. The qualifying and eligible Shortlisted Participant with the maximum/highest votes will be 1st place.
The Winners of a Contest Cycle may be announced in the Episode of the immediately next Contest Cycle and the Winners of the last Contest Cycle shall be announced on June 29, 2020 or such other date and time as Novi determines at its sole discretion.
The Winners may also be announced through social media posts, promotions or through any other mode or medium as determined by Novi.

1. Where can I vote for a contestant and when?
The voting window will open on the Home Dancer page of Disney+ Hotstar App for 36 hours as per the time set out in Question 5.
2. How many votes are allowed per user?
One user can vote up to 50 times per day of the voting period. You can distribute these votes across 1 or more of your favourite Participants in an episode. You need to be registered user on Disney+ Hotstar
3. How will I know if I am a winner?
Winner of an episode will be announced in the following episode along with announcements on social media. The winner will also be contacted by team Hotstar via email.
4. How can a Participant submit query / complaint or give feedback about the Contest?

5. Is the submission of PAN mandatory?
The Company will verify your identify proof and age proof as a part of the KYC process. Submitting a PAN is not mandatory to claim the Prize. However, you may not be able to claim your TDS credit in absence of a PAN.
