CityMind 2016 Hackathon Challenge :

The CityMind 2016 Hackathon Challenge (the “Contest”) is a skill contest where participants must develop a solution (“Solution”) on their own idea. Solution that you develop will be evaluated by judges, who will choose the winner(s) in accordance with these Official Rules. The prize(s) will be awarded to participant(s) with the highest score for the judging criteria. See below for the complete details.

Eligibility :

To be eligible to enter the Contest, you must be:
(1) above 20 years old and below 30 year old at the time of entry;
(2) resident of India;
(3) not a person or entity under India’s export controls or sanctions; and
(4) your education qualification should be doing or completed BE, BSC, BCA, MCA, MBA, ME, MS, and MSC.

How To Enter :

Complete Registration Necessary To Enter Or Win. To enter the Contest, visit the Contest website located at https://web.archive.org/web/20160415093000/http://citymind.in:80/ (“Contest Site”) and submit your entry via the Registration submission form. After successful registration, you will be eligible to give online entrance exam in English. Once you successfully clear the exam, you are eligible for contest. Your entrance exam date and result will send through an email after registration.
** You may enter as an individual or as a team of between 3(Three) to 6(Six) people. You must include all participants who created the Solution on your team. For individual entry, CityMind will build the team for you.
** During the Contest Period, CityMind, its agents and/or the Judges (defined below) will be evaluating each registration to ensure that it meets the criteria listed below. CityMind reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant who submits a registration that does not meet the criteria.

How It Works :

Registration:
Register as a group of 3-6 people.

As an individual (we will put you in a group) (Participant should come between 20 to 30 age group)

Crack the entrance exam:
The group online exam is designed by Interview Mocha based on the question provided by our recruitment partners. The score in the exam will be shared with the recruitment partners and brings you one step closer to your dream job.

Build an unique Idea:
** Together with your group think of an innovative idea, concept that is going to change the world.
** Advice: There are special perks if your idea supports digital India or Smart City.

Work closely with your Mentoring:
We will assign you a mentor (an experienced person from the IT industry), a week before the competition. Get in touch with your mentor and learn as much as you can.

Coding Starts:
** On the day of the event you would be given basic infrastructure to complete your idea. You will be given a coding desk with capacity of 5-6 developer, power outlet, wify. You have to bring your own laptops. The laptops will be screened before you could start coding.
** You have to code for next 24 hrs to produce a working prototype of your application.

Ratings:
While you are busy coding, you will be judged by your mentor as well as other groups mentors. These guys will rate you for your skills, learning ability, IQ, aptitude, team spirit, flexibility, technical skills, working under pressure, communication, presentation skills. Based on these ratings, the recruitment partners will make their hiring decisions.

Presentation:
At the end of the competition you are required to submit your code, and present it in front of the jury. If shortlisted in the first round of the presentation, you will have to make the final presentation to win the prizes.

Prizes:
All the participants are winners, no body loses, walkaway with vouchers worth Rs. 15,000.00/- at least.
** 1st Prize: Rs 200000.00/- + voucher worth Rs. 6,75,000.00/- per group.
** 2nd Prize: Rs. 1,00,000.00/- + voucher worth Rs. 3,75,000.00/- per group.
** 3rd Prize: Rs. 50,000.00/- + voucher worth Rs. 3,00,000.00/- per group.
** Next 10 Groups: voucher worth Rs. 2,25,000.00/- per group.
** Next 25 Groups: voucher worth Rs. 1,50,000.00/- per group.
** All other participants: voucher worth Rs. 75,000.00/- per group.

Funding:
Angel Investors will be carefully studying your idea and will be evaluating your presentation. If they like any of idea then they might offer investment to form your own start up and execute the concept.

Hiring Result:
15 days post the event, selection results will be up on our website once the recruitment partners have decided on their choices. We would also mail you the details.
