Click a Smile 2015, the annual photography competition organised by The Akshaya Patra Foundation, is back bigger and better than before! Whether you’re an amateur or professional photographer all you have to do is send us a beautiful, meaningful image of a smiling child (or children) clicked by you, from anywhere in the world! Get your photographs judged by an exclusive panel of judges from the industry to earn your place amongst the top three winners and you’ll receive a certificate and gift voucher!

Competition Dates : 20th November – 22nd December, 2015

Last year the competition saw around 1,400 entries from nearly 50 countries! This year has all the makings of going far beyond that. So don’t miss this chance to showcase your talents. Be a part of our international contest, and help spread the beauty of a child’s smile around the world.

Rules &Regulations :

1. The last date of participation is 22nd December, 2015.
2. There are no restrictions of age and nationality to enter the contest.
3. Participants must complete the registration process as per the terms and conditions mentioned here under.
4. Participants can submit upto three photographs taken by them.
5. Photographs should be digital (eg: JPEG) and capable of being transferred to a computer. Akshaya Patra will not be responsible for any compatibility issues that may arise.
6. The file size must be less than 4 MB with a minimum resolution of 800 pixels.
7. Akshaya Patra shall not be liable for any error in uploading the photograph for the contest.
8. Any direct or indirect cost expenses incurred by the participant while participating in the contest shall be borne solely by the participant and Akshaya Patra shall not be responsible for the same.
9. All photographs will be judged on the basis of content, composition, sensitivity, creativity and style.
10. Both colour as well as black and white photographs will be accepted in the contest.
11. Objects should not be added to or removed from the frame in order to enhance the shot.
12. Participants will not be allowed to see other competing entries.
13. Minor adjustments (in levels, curves, colour, saturation, contrast, sharpening, cropping and clean ups) can be made within limits by the participant in a digital image editing program. The photograph must not be manipulated.
14. Multiple exposures, composite images, sandwich shots, and photographs which consist in any way of more than one separate image or which have been manipulated are not eligible.
15. Photographs submitted must be entirely original and taken by the participant.
16. Akshaya Patra reserves the unconditional right to use the photographs for non-commercial electronic and print communication material.
17. The prize is not exchangeable for any product or item, is non-transferable and cannot be encashed under any circumstances.
18. The photographs submitted by the participant shall neither be in violation of any third party Intellectual Property Right/any law nor shall be defamatory/obscene/vulgar, detrimental to national interest, prejudicial to the interest of The Akshaya Patra Foundation or society in general. Akshaya Patra reserves the right to reject such entries.
19. The Akshaya Patra Foundation reserves the right to at any time disqualify participants who register photographs that are not in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contest or who tamper with the entry process.
20. The competition is not open for Akshaya Patra employees and their family members.
21. The contest shall be void, if prohibited by law.
22. Failure of Akshaya Patra to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
23. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law Akshaya Patra (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect special or consequential arising in any way out of this contest.
24. By completing the registration process of the contest, the participant shall be deemed to have read, understood and unconditionally accepted the terms and conditions of the competition.
25. All decisions on the eligibility of participants, acceptance of photographs or any other matter relating to this promotional contest, shall belong solely to Akshaya Patra and the decision of Akshaya Patra shall be final and binding on the participant.
