What is Digital Photography Contest?

Digital Photography Contest is organised by NHAI, MyGov on the theme of “National Highways through the Eyes of the Camera”. This contest is open to all Citizens of India, except employees of National Highways Authority of India and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India. No Entry Fee. The 1st Prize is Rs. 50,000. The Last date of submission is 22nd July 2022.

Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria of Digital Photography Contest are given below,
**Digital Photography Contest is open to all Citizens of India, except employees of National Highways Authority of India and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India.
**Participant can choose only one category to participate i.e. Professional or Amateur.

Prizes of MyGov Digital Photography Contest

The Prizes of MyGov Digital Photography Contest are given below,
Prizes in each category i.e. Professional Photographer and Amateur Photographer will be as follows. Certificates of merit will also be awarded to prize-winning photographers.
1st Prize – Rs. 50,000
2nd Prizze – Rs. 30,000
3rd Prize – Rs. 20,000
10 consolation Prizes – Rs. 10,000/- each

Award Categories of Digital Photography Contest

There are two categories of the awards
(i) Professional Photographer – Definition of Professional photographer:
A person whose main source of livelihood is from photography (working in the capacity of individual photographer or in a Photo Section, Newspapers, News agencies, Studios, teaching photography & communication or individual agencies or any form of major source of revenue through photography) is considered to be “Professional Photographer”.

(ii) Amateur Photographer – Definition of Amateur photographer:
A Photographer who does photography as a hobby, for creative urge, but her/his major source of revenue should be from some other means is considered as “Amateur Photographer”.

Terms & Conditions of Digital Photography Contest

The Terms & Conditions of MyGov Digital Photography Contest are given below,
** Photographs should be of National Highways in India only (including structures viz. flyovers, bridges, tunnels, toll plazas etc. or any other element of human interest).
** Photographs should not be edited/tampered. Only original/ raw photographs should be uploaded.
** Size of the digital photo should not be more than 5 MB for each photograph.
** An undertaking to the effect that all photographs are works of original nature and taken by the participant himself/herself should be enclosed.
** All the entries received for the Digital Photo Contest of prize winning entries will be theexclusive property of NHAI and will have the exclusive rights to use them as per its requirement.
** The participant shall provide the full resolution image to NHAI.
** NHAI may purchase selected images, other than the awarded ones, from any of the categories.
** The purchase price of each image will be Rs.2000/- only.
